^^^awesomeness
can you carry in CT?
just watched a documentary about guns in mexico, didnt care much for the documentary but the guns they were showing were pretty awesome
i almost bought a 50cal mussel loader a few months ago LOL
in other news my laziness reached new limits, both my laptops are down and im lazy to fix them then my desktops are in the same boat and now this last resort mac is all screwed up so im using it in safe mode still lazy to fix anything LOL
Cause a mountie will always be there to save you? Lol
Our mounties do a fracking fantastic job. I guess that's why I cant even think of a reason to have a gun... I'm extremely proud of the fact that I live in a country that you don't need to own a gun to feel safe.

I cant for the life of me think why I might ever need a gun...
for when the other side has a gun?
but in all seriousness i kind of agree that most ppl shouldn't carry guns, my theory is that 80% of ppl who have guns dont actually have the guts to use them when it comes down to it and thats the most dangerous thing you could ever do... (pull a gun out and not use it)
on the other hand guns still have their place in this world...(sorry but we dont live in disney land) and im all for carrying them if its necessary and your ready to use it.
on another note
what do you guys think of sams irish red?
i kind of miss the summer ale
Yam - I only partially agree with you, the most dangerous thing you can do is pull out your gun and use it. You are probably close to the figure about people having the guts to drop the hammer on someone's life. But then again, no one ever knows how they will feel until it happens. I would prefer to be alongside one of those citizens who unholsters their weapon and stops the criminal with out a shot fired, over one of these trigger happy 21y/o's who think life is like COD and just spraying bullets.
Sam Irish Red is delicious, I'm currently enjoying the winter lager. Not really a fan of the summer ale though. Latitude 48 IPA is delicious though.

I'm going to try and make it to SoWo this year. Haven't made it the past 3 years which is pretty bad since it's in my home state.
On the gun side of the things. I have a custom 1911 that my father built back in the 80's. I recently got it form him an am trying to bring it back to new condition. Needs to be re blued, cleaned and currently is setup as a .45 with 9mm barrel & .45 spring so it can shoot super hot loads. But, since we lost all the reloading equipment, I'm going to either put a normal 9mm spring in so it can handle just 9mm +p rounds or pickup a .45 barrel. Either way, it will be a while before I get it out to a range.
I'm not a gun "nut". However, I have grown up with them all my life, have a respect for them, have been trained to shoot and know the difference between a situation that one should and shouldn't pull a gun. In the end, I'd rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it. I generally don't have the need to carry on a day to day basis. I mainly carry when I go for long MC rides and such, aside from that, it's for home protection.
I don't drink beer, so I can't contribute to that part of the conversation. I'm a Cider guy myself. Generally Strongbow or Magners.

being trigger happy was not really what i was getting at
lets say i pull a knife on you and tell you to give me your wallet, you think "haha i have a gun" and pull it out well im crazy and on meth so i say "fuck you your not going to shoot" grab your gun and while we struggle you get shot.
unholstering your weapon wont stop all people... so like i said if your not ready to use it dont pull it and dont carry it.(thats jsut how i feel about it) i think you are putting your self in unnecessary danger when you carry any weapon (gun, knife, whatever) and are not ready to use it.
life is definitely not COD
i like irish red but i like summer ale better, Latitude 48 IPA? havent heard of that one. time for google :)

i cant wait to drive through al the crazy mountain roads down there, how far do you live from the tail of the dragon?
How does needing a gun because you are in a doggy area in your city the same as or even close to being invaded?
And you cool kids can try to mock and laugh at the peaceful Canadians Ill gladly take that along with the good will that follows me when I travel abroad because I am Canadian.
I'm also not saying I am against guns. They are a tool/weapon that I have an ultimate respect for... I am just very glad that in my life I don't even have to think about that kind of violence. And no I don't live at Disney Land.

I don't drink beer either. But i found a nice little local Pear Cider last week... Very nice. I'm also a fan of Coke and Sambooka.
On a bit of a car note I bought a MKII big bumper Jetta this weekend along with a MKI Caddy and a MKI GTI shell, A VR6 complete swap and some very nice Raddo wheels.... Cant wait to get building!

I would personally go with a .45 barrel. Or get both a .45 barrel and a 9mm spring. That way you can swap out to what you feel like shooting.

I'm about 3 hours from the tail. I've ridden it several times on my bike and the last time I was up there, we took the wife's Beetle and got on the front of Killboy's site for flipping him off ( I was driving, my wife is the one waving with only one finger :) )

I was thinking about that and now that you've mentioned it, that's sounding better and better.

I'll have to look for this and see if I can find it. Ga isn't exactly a big cider state, but there are a few specialty shops I can go to and check out.

lmao epic picture is epic! but who the eff is killboy?
you should definitely show up to sowo and come party with us...
Killboy is pretty much "the" photographer up on the Dragon. He literally sits in a few of the corners and takes pictures all day of everyone driving by. Then, posts them up. Some make the front page, while others remain in the gallery, where you can look for yourself and purchase the images if you like. Enough people like it, because he makes his living off of it. http://killboy.com
As for SoWo, if I make it, I certainly wouldn't mind meeting some AZ'ers. We'll have to exchange numbers when time gets closer because once you are up there, you can't find anyone just by looking, lol.

this killboy guy needs to get a few shots of my car...
and if you dont have a place booked then you should just join us...
If you ride the gap, there's a good chance you will cross his path.
As for SoWo, we never stay up there. It's about a 2 hour trip so we generally just drive up early Sat morning and then head home around dark. We get to see everything and then go home to our own bed, but I certainly appreciate the offer. My wife and I have very different work schedules so weekends are always a mess.
Random chat? Then can I talk about how pissed I am that after not hitting legs for a year my squat has gone down 100lbs? IT SUCKS BEING FAT AND WEAK
lol i just hack squat now. Took to much of a toll on my back and knees. Work is to demanding of my physical labor to waste myself away at the gym on D/L's and squat. Legs days suck either way. Did them today and hated every second of it.

I'm in that same boat. Been out of the gym also for about a year now and lost 30lbs....yeah I said I haven't been to the gym in a year and lost weight. Lol. Sucks being tall and skinny. I don't even want to know what my max for squats is now.

That's opposite for I would say most of us. You go to the gym to get bigger, we go to the gym to get smaller, lol. I need to get back into it, want to lose 30lbs and turn the rest of this fat back into muscle.
