hey Audizine users i got a tuned s4 with stage two clutch chipped ecu bigger wastegate and all the good stuff. idk if ull mind or not or if u would know why my car doesnt want start. the car trys to start but doesnt wanna turn all the way over and start. i though it was timing belt but i guess its not and someone said something about camshaft sensor, if you can help me some how that be great thanks
I picked it up from some one that said it had low compression in cylinnder 5 but i dont think low compression isnt gonna start the car. I looked throught the timing belts and they seem fine and in good order. Some one said about cam shaft sensors but im not sure. The guy that i got the car from said it was his daily driver. after the low compression he went in to autozone and ever since it wouldnt start. IDK but if anyone know what it could be please let me know.
So you bought a very expensive car to work on that doesn't run and you don't know how to work on cars? You are doing a very poor job of describing the issues with your car. If you want any kind of meaningful help, your are going to have to do a better job describing your issue(s). You also need to VAG your car. Is your check engine light on? From you original description of the motor not wanting to turn over, it sound like a weak/bad battery or starter issue...
Gotta vag it. Could be cam sensor... or battery, tb, wiring, fuel pump, ecu or any and everthing else that could cause a no start, does it have gas in it?

From the information provided it seems you may have the same problem I had last
Month. The fuel pump went in mine. Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the
key prior to start. Also the relay is behind the driver knee bolster.

and i cant check the check engine light becasue the car wont start so all lights are on, and i cant drive it to autzone becasue it it wont run, i ordered cam and crank sensors hopefully that will help me out a bit
go to autozone and buy a cheap obd2 reader.. run about 30$ up here in cali.
far cheaper than the vag(which i just ordered) and it will give you the codes that you need to get your car running..
also, try putting a charger on your battery.
So i changed my cam sensor and my crank sensor and it still wont run? fuel is pumping and i just changed the sparks, and the coils, no check engine codes are given? im stuck anyone ideas?? thanks
what are you scanning the car with that you are getting no codes?
how do you know fuel is pumping?
if the fuel pump relay is bad it can disable the injectors, so even though the fuel pump may be working the ecu will not be able to fire the injectors. are your spark plugs wet with fuel after trying to start?
do you know if you have spark at all?

i know the fuel is pumping i unplugged the cable and tried turning the car and fuel was squirting. i rented the 400 dollar new machine from o'riellys and had the fuel injector circuit come up, i realized the injectors were unplugged so i plugged them back in and now there is now codes being read. its a can obd2/obd1 and abs machine.
lol no there are no codes being read. the timing is in place i chacked. the motor revs up just doesnt start. i can explain but it like its starts but it doesnt. as if its something little. And ive caressed her enough and she still dont wanna make me happy lol
ya ill post a video when i get home. if anyone has ever had a fuel cut off switch or i guess a bad fuel pump thats what the car sounds like. it wants to start but seems like something is missing.

When I ran into a similar issue on my S4, it ended up being the crank position sensor/engine speed sensor. Although I haven't personally seen this, it could also be a bad coolant temp sensor as other members have reported that being the culprit of their no-start issues. I'm not a fan of blindly replacing parts, but the CTS is only a few bucks and a relatively simple DIY. Part number 059 919 501A.
My CTS has gone bad as well, but I never caused my car to not start. However, neither my CTS or my crank position sensor threw codes when they failed.
What kind of ecu tune does it have? Is it possible that the "kill" program was accidentally selected? It seems as though if there were an issue with the engine turning over...... There would be a code associated with it. GL
does the engine sound like its cranking faster than it should? This happened to my buddy. Prev owner faked receipts for the tbelt. snapped trying to turn it over at 140k.
