Are you able to use a power washer at the quarter car wash to clean these, or does it just peel off?

Low psi power washers are ok, but I suggest a simple hand wash on the wheels for the longest lifespan

I had the same plasti-dip on my front grill trim for years now. Been through multiplle washes (I use a power washer at my house, but not a strong psi) and still holds up just fine. I live in Tri-State weather, also.

Can I use the glossifier over top the gold metal flake? Or does the gold already give it a glossy look?

sorry but i dont see the need for any of those special products on top the plasti dip, you can just go out and get what ever color normal spray you want and spray it on the wheels so the plasti dip is acting as a primer, then if you want you can spray normal clear on it. ive done it and it held great...

Nice effect with the gold and silver metallizers. I know the typical matte black is sold at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Are any of the metallizers sold at local stores, such as Autozone?

No the metalizers and glossifiers are only offered through a select number of PlastiDip distributors. We are one of them - www.dipyourcar.com

In your videos, you states 4 coats of color plastidip is needed. If I wanted to bronze my rims, how many cans of metallizer do you think will be needed for a full set of rims?

You would need at least 3 cans of metalizer.

I'm looking to do my factory wheels in gold, I'm trying to avoid the bronze shade. Should I use gunmetal as a base or a couple light coats of black?

Yes, that will work if you want a very light, bright gold. Still going to need a good 4-5 coats of the Gold. The Gold Metalizer looks incredible in person

for the price of a wheel coloring kit you can easily just redo it and its still a fraction the cost of powdercoat.... just sayin.

I picked up some RS4 reps for nice and cheap, but they're curb rashed to shit... I was thinking of some sanding/filling, and then this on top. Seems like a cheap solution, and can be redone at a later date.

My question is, what about tire cleaner? Every couple of washes I'll use a spray on cleaner. Try as I might to avoid it, some ends up on the rims every time. Would it eat through this?

Ive used spray on wheel cleaner to get the break dust off of my matte black plasti dipped wheels and no problems the plasti dip is intact!

Plasti dip was created as a tool handle coating if I'm not mistaken. I would guess that it can't handle the abuse of most any product/chemical, even wheel and tire cleaners.

For all those who have dipped your wheels, do you recommend dipping before or after you mount tires?
I'm concerned a tire buster would scape the ish out of the lip and render my hard work pointless during balancing.
How well do they hold up to low profile tires being raped on and off these wheels?

you HAVE to do them with the tires on. also, mask off the inner barrels somehow. The over spray is tough to remove off the backside. I had to clean a guys wheels that were dipped and it was terrible.
