Component Protection
Hi there
Quick question, If I install a new module that I need to take the car into the dealership for to remove component protection, do I need to do it again if I replace the new module with the original again?
I'm thinking of getting the 3 zone climate control unit (will work, but errors because of missing sensors) and putting the 1 zone control unit back in when the car goes in for services.

Yes, by replacing the module your telling the car this is the module that belongs here. It doesn't keep a memory or past modules.

Why would you need to trade out the module every time you go in for service?
Tschüß!

Was thinking of using 3 zone and ignoring the errors, but as per the 3 zone thread seems like it wont work anyway.

Didn't TR464 say it wouldn't work at all with the errors?

Yes he did. Im abandoning the idea until i find the airbox with actuators and sensors, which will probably never happen.

...
Tons of available in Ebay.de; search string "(8K, B8) Gebl*"
This is a RHD revision, pls verify whether it's a 3-zone unit - I don't have a working ETKA where I am at the moment:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Audi-A4-S4-B8...item5631d5a170
Even with the head unit and the assembly replaced you're still missing the air quality and the humidity sensor.
retrofitted (OEM+): tow bar, bluetooth&rSAP kit, pdc+, color dis, light&rain sensor, auto dimming mirror, highbeam assist, auto folding&dimming mirrors, charisma switch, alarm, electrical front seats (memory driver side), light package+ambient lighting+illuminated door pockets, heated rear seats, xenon incl. auto leveling+headlamp wash system, side assist, illuminated exterior door handles front+rear, LED taillights, auxiliary heater, powered rear window blinds ...

Thanks a million! Any ideas on part number for the air quality and humidity sensors or they location so that I can check at the dealership?
