I have a few buddies with 1.8T big turbos but they are concerned with the transmission. I have heard before that they might brake at a certain point and my buddy is running a 3076r stock displacement. One of them wants to step up to a gt35r and bigger tune.
When should he worry about his trans and what are you guys doing to step it up ? Thanks.

The A4 trani is pretty strong. Plenty of drag racer guys run the 1.8t trani well beyond 600whp. A well cared for trani will be plenty strong. Just treat it with respect, good fluids go a long ways as well.98 A4 1.8TQM 160k miles
