I saw someone on the g35 forums that plastidipped their entire car. It started to peel on them from weathering..

Is that normal or is it that he didn't apply it properly?

That was not applied properly. My b8 s 4 was plastidipped 3 times; once matte white for over 4 months without problems.

Anyone have any experiences of how well it holds up on the rims in northeastern climates?

Nice I've never heard of this before. I have my front grille dipped its held up great. No rock chips etc. The paint I had on my last grille would get chips but not the dip.

Cool, do you have any deals on the Plastidip for your tools? the one you dip into? i had a hard time finding it as Homedepot and other big stores had no clue what i was talking about. I use it to coat the ends of pliers so you dont scratch things up.

That depends on your objective. Some people use the dip specifically to protect their wheels from the winter wear and tear, snow, salt, ect.

If it's a cosmetic job, the plastidip will hold up extremely well to the winter elements - especially if enough coats (5) are put on.

Nice! Question; would PlastiDip hold up better on my RS4 grille trim better than regular spray paint? It has been on for almost a week now and is already chipping

Goes up to 312 degrees F without problems. The engine cover over my SC on my S4 has been plastidipped for 4 months and has held up great

I have a solution for that problem - I thin down yellow - make it sprayable - and provide a disposable sprayer that comes with the kit. Send these kits out all the time!
