Hey guys, how much could be done to the engines on our S5s?
I know ECU, Exhaust, some people have superchargers etc. But what else? (Trying to stay within 8k budget, including all the other mods listed)
But Im willing to up my budget enough to have that extra extra HP.
Obviously the S5 is a fast car, but its only fair to make it go faster!

The supercharger is 13k for just parts.

I have all of those planned out already. Exhaust + dmh cutout, wheels, spacers, tires, suspension, bop grill, black fog, ecu, tints, eurogear cf front/rear splitters and engine cover.
Im just wondering what else there is to do. Definitely not going with a supercharger.

It will get here. I have now had mine 3 weeks, and I am beyond thrilled with it. Plenty of power for me. And the AWE, holy @#$%. No downpipes necessary. I get more attention (even though unwanted) in this car than I did in a new 911 4s. Just looks hot, and very few on the road anywhere, and none in my smallish town other than me that I have seen.

Update: Spoke to my dealer today. The car is getting ready to be shipped, will be here by February 21st. Let the modding begin!!

Hey guys, I'm new to this site but have a huge passion for cars, especially Audis. I finally signed for my S5. Delivery is expected somewhere mid-february, and I'm now looking into some upgrades and mods to be done as soon as I take order.

Car being built for me is the following:
2012 Audi S5
Automatic
Prestige Package
Brilliant Black Exterior
Black Alcantara Interior with Carbon Fiber Inlays for Trim

When I went to order the car, this past Saturday (November 26th) Titanium Package was unavailable for order. My salesmen showed us the most updated version of their order sheets, and still it was indeed unavailable. I was told it was most likely a problem with the wheels. I asked for a possible special order through the factory, for just the trim, thinking that the wheels were most likely the problem with the package, but it would cause a few issues to have it done.

When I pick up my car, I'll be taking it to a respectable shop here on Long Island (NY), to have all my work done. As of now, heres what I'm interested in having done, and Im looking for advice on which manufactures are the best for the S5.

Mods as of now:
20% Tints
Tail Lights Tinted/Faded
Aftermarket Exhaust
Aftermarket Trim Black (Mirror Caps, Window Trim, Fog Lights, Grill)
Front/Rear Black Emblems
Other changes involving limiter*
[maybe later to be added to list: Ecu]

Anyone with advice on which parts I should order, just throw down a comment, It will be greatly appreciated. I made an account seeking the advice, opinions and help from you enthusiasts. I appreciate it a lot and thank you in advance.

Update: Got even better news. Car should be arriving within the next 7-10 days.
I decided to wait on the engine work for now, with the exception of an AWE Track exhaust with awe resonated downpipes, I want to enjoy the car for a while until I start to chip it and throw an intake on.

Have a few questions:
Do the 2012 S5s come with HID fogs?
This is the correct black optics grill right? and what color license plate delete do I get. Would it look off in gloss black, if so which black do I ask for that will match the part that the license plate delete rests on: http://www.oemplus.com/grill-black-s5-p-1322.html
What exactly is Vag-Com and is it a necessary mod? What are some of the tweaks that are most common?
Im keeping the stock rims for a while proabaly until late spring, early summer. And I'm wondering if this would be a good setup: 20mm front/ 25mm rear with either H&R OE springs, or the H&R sport springs

For tint keep in mind that Audis come stock with a level of tint on the windows already. I got 35% done on my white ext/black int S5 cabrio and it turned out way to dark for my tastes. I am going to lighten it up.

I dont believe our cars come with HID fogs. You could of course get new Hoen bulbs which match the LED DRLs well. Of course you could get HIDs for more money.

Some people also go with 15 F/20 R spacers. This is what I am going to get shortly.

Vag-com allows you to tweak some of the software to change the car's function. People have increased the brightness of the DRL, turned off the amber sidemarks, enabled control of the windows from the remote, turned off the blinking of the DRLs when the turn signal is activated, enabled watching of DVDs while the car is moving (my personal favorite). Theres a bunch more you can do but these are the most common ones.

Don't really think any cars come with HID fogs as it defeats the point of them being "fog lights" The point of the fog lights is to emit a low wide beam that will shine below haze rather than a bright light that will glare.

Update: CAR ARRIVED! Im ecstatic and this car is everything I expected and more! So it was raining when I picked up my car but here is a quick snap I took of it.

Ill take some more photos today on my iPhone. Once I get my mods going ill get some more shots on a buddy's 5D Mark II.

So far the car feels and drives amazing. I'm SO happy I didn't go with an M3. I still can't get over the interior, its so gorgeous.

Congrats that the long wait is over. I am still giddy every time I get to drive it and I am about a month in. I have also developed a strange disorder of walking away from my car backwards so I can look at it as I walk away.
