NW Drivers (rant inside)

Sitting in the center lane behind someone waiting to go straight. The light turns green then they put their left blinker on!!! F you!!!
Women drivers and asians in general. Holy crap. Driving up 405 is the worst....everytime i get behind i person going 50 in the fast lane we play "bet its an asian", 96% it is.

My son and I play the same game up here in Whatcom county, but its "bet it's a Canasian" so funny.

I really hate all the "holiday makers" that head to hood this time of year. The ones that start to freak out when they see snow on the side of the road, have bald-ass tires, no snow chains nor snow driving skills. The worst part is that they don't know 26, so they'll drive in the middle of the two lane sections

I was stuck in 5 mph traffic at Rhody at 7:45 am yesterday! That was more than four miles from the snow zone...

At least I made the main lot at Meadows. I think I heard they filled all lots by 9am and were shuttling people from Bennett snow park.

We went up the day after Christmas and the intersections going in and out of Government Camp were a mess. Turning left out of there was slow going, so some asshats decide to make their own left turn lane, on the wrong side of the road, cutting off everyone in the actual left lane and blocking oncoming traffic. It's idiots like that you see stuck in a snowdrift a mile down the road!

And now, my other big pet peeve that I don't think anyone else has described. You're cruising along smoothly and quickly at the back of 4-5 cars say and just leave a bit of a sane gap because you're actually moving. You have a huge gap of 10+ cars behind you and sure enough some moron on the right dives in front of you rather than wait for said huge gap, and then proceeds to cruise 10mph less than you were just cruising and you now see the other cars you were with just pull away because the moron can't, or doesn't even pay enough attention to get up to speed, whatever he chooses to go is just fine. And lets finish the scenario, does he get back over to the right because he's just overtaking an even slower car? HELL NO, of course not. He's now annoyed you're right behind him (wonder how that happened buddy?) and he just parks in the left lane since he's the stereotypical passive-aggressive NorthWesterner. Eventually pissing you off enough you have to pass him on the right. Then he has to give you coup de grace by brighting you when you pull back into the left lane, even though you gave him several car lengths before you did it because you just want to get home and he isn't even worth the effort to f*** with. Sound like a lot of factors to come together to be realistic? It happens to me in Portland at least once a frickin' week no joke.

So true, whenever this happens people always flash me or give me the finger because of my cali plates, even when I give them a huge berth before getting back into the left lane.

Another pet peeve that happens around portland is when there is a two lane road with an intersection with a light (for example: se 17th at se bybee), drivers who want to make a left turn at the light sit in the crosswalk and block all the car behind them that want to go straight or turn right. They don't have the insight [decency?] to pull into the intersection to drivers behind them can go around. Sometimes I flash my lights but I get nothing back but passive aggression.

my blood is boiling just reading this thread.

i learned to drive in montana, where the speed limits are high, the roads are open, and the drivers are fast. seattle is a hellhole of timid, passive-aggressive, fear-filled activists that are incapable of paying attention to the road while simultaneously understanding the dynamics of vehicle control and traffic patterns.

did i mention "its their right" to drive slow in the left lane? too bad LEOs don't enforce the "stay right except to pass" law more often.

here's a new one, I followed a brand new M3 from I5 across I90, and onto 405 south until I pealed off onto 520

THE ENTIRE FUCKING TIME I FOLLOWED HIM HIS BREAK LIGHTS WERE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!
i mean he must have had his foot planted on the breaks, for a while on I90 we were even doing a little weaving and passing people, not nicely either, he would romp on it and get up to 80 while riding the breaks

why would someone do that to such a nice car, he is gonna destroy those pads and rotors............I dont get people

even worse is because the break lights are always on, when he does have to stop it looks the same
