Urgent Help needed pls. Anyone with VAG-COM near Derry NH

Hi!
My wife's '05 B6 started flashing CEL and very rough engine.

Is someone close to Derry NH willing to lend a VAG-COM? I'd owe you lunch or beers.

flashing check engine light means there is a severe misfire. seeing how it is a 1.8t, ide say more than likely the coilpacks need to be replaced. Could also be spark plugs if you havnt changed them in a long time. Those are the two most common. Coilpacks are about $25-30 each at the dealer, and VERY simple to replace. a way you can test this is to start the car and just pull the coilpack up off the plug. if the engine starts to stutter more, that coilpack is still ok. If engine does not change, that coilpack is bad. Personally ide just replace all 4 anyway. if ones gone the others arnt far behind.

Thanks doublezero30. I just changed the plugs and no change.
I'm going to pull all the coilpacks off my wife's A4 and replace it with coilpacks from my Avant {I know mine works perfectly} :)
Fingers crossed that'll be it.

Oh well ........... it's not the CP. I switched all 4 and still very rough idle. CEL is now solid and not flashing.
Guess need to get it towed.

ah damn, unfortionatly i dont own vagcom. sorry man. if the light turned solid, maybe there was more than one issue? hope its not a big deal
