I know this was done here http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...sion..../page2
However, I don't know if anyone had tried this on the B8's? Well I did and its actually a direct replacement, not glue no moving about! However, I purchased the Mk5 Golf version no heated. So now i just need to source out a set of heated ones, and we are in business! The only thing I'm slightly concerned about is that I had to adjust the MK5 version to full hight to get it anywhere near the center of the windshield.
Here is a comparison.
I hope this helps and if you didn't already know this.

I bought these off eBay used. Of course one of them the clips was broken so I only have one. I'm still searching for a place to get the heated ones. #5M0 955 986 C which replaced the #5M0 955 986 9B9 http://genuineaudiparts.com/ apparently has them but I was unable to find them on their site. ECS has them but $50 each thats a little steep! http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...iper/ES401765/

By 2003 A4 had the fan spray pattern. This is now on the list of things to do.

I did this 'mod' about a half year (or longer) ago. Anyway, it is indeed plug and play and the heated ones work aswell (no error and i guess they heat in the winter).
But like the OP they aren't super prefect as they with the first spray they spray over the whiper, but then you need to spray in between whipes or it will hit the whipers blocking the spray a bit.
At least it is tons better then the stock imho. Ideally it would need more spray (Opel insignia also has two spray nozzles and cover the entire windshield) or an additional center nozzle (like mercedes has).
Never the less, plug and play and better :) .

I did, but i suppose you meant...on car not equiped stock with heaters?
I will try to find out where the wires go to but i guess it will be hard to trace them...
Anyway, plug partnumber is 8E0 973 202 (2pin plug).
Don't quote me on the wiring, but i guess you can simply run wires to the fusebox?

I'll try to look up in the shop manual tonight if I can tell. I just picked up one heated sprayer for 5GBP including shipping on eBay!
Nice one, but like said...one (you need two of them :p ..i know 'test'). But also be aware they aren't perfect as mentioned earlier. When the whipers are in 'hide' mode it all works fine, but when they are in 'hold' mode they will block a bit. Never the less, better water spray pattern in my eyes.

Yeah, I know I need two. The guy only had one, but considering I have not seen them in the US and in the UK, they are normally about 14GBP with shipping each, I was able to get one for 1/3rd that price, now to just find another one.

I've got mine on their way to me in a blazer pocket. They should be direct replacement if you already have heated nozzles. Very install done it 2 minutes each side!

I can confirm that these are not heated! In my haste I read that they were when actually he was trying to say they were NOT heated. I got them installed right now since it's still in the 70's here!
