Pretty sure that's just shipping packaging on the wipers. I like it but it's no Mexico Blue!

A little harsh ;) Pics were taken before delivery inspection, hence the green wipers will disappear. Color might be an acquired taste, however Meissen Blau is one of the oldest racing heritage colors if you are interested in Porsche, Auto Union history. Sure mainstream likes black, white, gray tones, and in some extent orange, green of sorts. However original thoughts only appreciated by those who understands the uniqueness.

Im a fan. Would prefer a little darker blue like a mexico blue. But I love cars that are very individual.

That is awesome, was this direct from Audi? I would go color matched center with matte black lips with a nice staggered 3 piece wheel of course. Nice work.

I don't know. I think I'd go orange, a la the Gulf Porsches. Or if not the wheels, then a side orange stripe down the lower sides.

Orange would take away from the brakes. I say a nice matte black or brushed gunmetal with double dark tint would look fantastic.

Matt Carbon blades and calipers definitely ruled out the glossy tones of wheel selection. The European OEM parts arriving in a couple of weeks, and meanwhile we are scouting wheels. Gotta give boys at ADV.1 a call next week.

Coming to a public forum and posting pictures invites opinion. Expecting everyone to gush over your choice and only agree with you on how great it is - foolish. The R8 is a beautiful car, but that baby blue is what I'd expect to see in a newborn's crib, not a supercar. Personally I'd prefer a "burnt orange" color but wouldn't ever expect every person to like it.

I agree with that. I also like burnt orange color since I am a UT graduate.

I rarely ever say this as I think they're overdone but, black wheels would make that car complete.

I like the unique color... different for sure. One thing throwing it off is the wheels IMO.

Very nice to know. I'm in love with the 356 Outlaws but honestly do not associate the color with them. However I do with the iconic 917K's.
