yeah this is going to be tough. i have a while before spring so i can take my time and research. im in no rush. i want to do this right the first time. thinking about getting the spacers first before i look into tires. maybe ill just do 15mm all around and save myself the headache of too much poke.
I cant wait until its all mounted up. The vision i have in my head for this setup is crazy.
A staggered setup is made for cars with rear wheel drive. With an AWD or FWD car, they make zero sense other than looks. And when you know the car is an AWD or FWD then it looks stupid.

says the guy with the stock s4.......lol
those offsets on the rs's suck. def gonna need spacers, are you going to redrill? or run adapters?
I just ordered 20mm and 25mm yesterday. My final offset will be 18x8+22 18x10+25!!!
offsets after adapters are ok, 215/40 up front and 225/40 out back. For comparison I run 18x8.5 et 18 w 215/40/18 and 18x9.5 et 19 w 225/40/18, rear camber is maxed and the rear fenders are slightly pulled. gtf is 23.25 up front and 23.5 out back.
LJH i want the wheels to be flush. When you see the final setup you will see why i chose those offsets.

Do you have pictures? I would love to see for reference.

The highest load rating I see on a 215/40/18 is 89....you are comfortable with that?
those wheels look sick, not the average wheel of choice but who wants to be average?
be original because if you look at the car and say in your head "that looks dope" what else matters? theres nothing worse then pulling up to an audi and you both have black vmr v710's lol, love those rims but whats the point if everyone has them.. like rockstars on trucks.
cam, what about 205/40 in front? 215/40's dont look that good on a 8' rim. a 205/40 would have a nice little stretch just like the 225/40 on the 10' in the back.
The wheels look great. They just don't belong on an S4.
VTB...just joking, man
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like the bitch
FS:Brand New K&N Air Filter RU-3700 (3" inlet, 5" base, 4" tall, 4 5/8" top), Brand New 3" Injen (Amsoil) Dry Filter Setup with Heat Shield, Brand New OEM 06A Oil Pump, Used Greddy Intercooler...throw me some offers
Are you planning on DD'ing this car? If so I would seriously look at not using 205's for a number of reasons.
1. The max load rating I saw in that size is 86 (1168lbs). This gives you no overhead at all on load carrying capability. I actually think running a 92 or 93 rated tire is probably OK (I like to stick with MFG's specs personally) but an 86 is bordering on dangerous.
2. You are getting getting close to the 3% that Audi states is the MAX allowable difference in diameter, this WILL put stresses on the center differential.
3. With that small of a sidewall you will have to endure a really crappy ride and no wheel protection.
4. Under steer, under steer, under steer.
We all know that I am an old fart and don't really get the "stance" thing but I also do not want you to end up with a car that is not enjoyable to drive and will cause potential damage to center dif and the wheels. If you are just looking to drive the car occasionally and cruise the boulevard fine, but if you want to really drive the car and enjoy it I would recommend doing a more conservative set-up.

falken 512 and you won't have a problem, 205/40 is too small, sony look rite when compared to the rears. and not to mention its load rating is really low. 215 falken 512 and ur set.
and the 225 on the 10 is gonna have a lot of stretch, i run the 225 on a 9.5, so it will stretch more on the 10. if you wanted you could even go 235/40/18 in the rear and 215 up front, keep the stretch to a min and add camber to the rear to clear the fender.
meh on the nankangs, don't really like them. had em on my mk5 w porsche twists. Post pics up when everything is mounted.
Def.
Im still dialing in the fitment so im not going to spend crazy money on tires until i know what sizes suit this wheel set up best. Plus i go through tires like crazy.
With an alignment that is within spec you will not go through tires like crazy. if you are getting less then 15K on tires you are either spending a lot of time at the track or your alignment is off, at that point it is totally worth the investment to go with adjustable arms.
Ummmm...........My GOD those look good. Granted I've always been a BBS whore, but I cannot believe how great those look. Way to think outside the box man!!

Thanks bro! I was scared they wouldnt look too good beause their 18s and with the lip the faces look a little small an the lips arent that big but it ended up coming out great. Im very happy with the way it turned out. I got the height adjusted too, the rears are almost maxed out.
