Sold my gorgeous Lexus IS after I totaled my evo because i wanted only one car and this S4 takes the cake!! I always wanted Luxury, and after i sold my WRX i bought a Lexus IS250 rwd, 6 speed and I made it look beautiful. Too bad it was slow and rwd. I missed awd and turbo so i got myself an Evo 8 in March. I messed with the evo for a while and loved every second of it until sadly a little over a month ago i crashed it into a curb in the rain and it was declared totaled. Knowing winter was approaching quick i made the decision to sell my Lexus to a close friend and bought myself this beautiful machine that has it all in my book
The car came with H&R Coils, REAL CF Interior, and a Pioneer in-dash/navi unit.
I plasti dipped the front grill to cover the ugly silver plastic. BLACK looks waaaay better.
Here are pictures of my old cars:

05 Evo 8 SSL
I hope you guys enjoy and are ready for a treat. As you can see I like to make my cars look nice. The S4 wont get treated any less. New shoes and more low are on the way. Beware: I'm planning on going HARD.
congrats on the purchase! Is it an 06 or an 05.5? The 05.5 b7 S4 came with the wheels you currently have on the car, the 18in Avus wheels.
The 05.5 came with 5 spokes. PO must've picked up those 6 spokes somewhere. BTW I've seen the 6 spoke avus powder coated gunmetal on a red b7 and it looks good....especially for a winter setup.
Congrats on the purchase OP. You really did a great job on that IS. Beautiful car. Too bad it wasn't horsepower inclined...haha. The S4 is a great all around car. Nice choice. Keep us updated on your progress

Your other cars look mighty nice as well, that IS is slammed for a DD! I didn't even know they made the newer IS's in manual, that's pretty cool. I think those are great looking cars.
I hope the S4 does a good job filling the void of the two cars you left behind and welcome to the community.

hurry up and throw some wheels on the s4!
I had an 06 WRX a while back, hence the name. It was amazing, had ppg gears and the works. Big reason why i bought the evo.
Im researching some nice wheel sizes and brands right now. I REALLY want BBS RS's, but theyre so expensive. I will get some baller wheels tho.

Thanks, I got it with 54k miles. Not bad for an 05.5 I think. The paint is immaculate as well. I daily'ed the IS at that height for over a year. The S4 has already has filled that void!

its not that low anymore. the owner raised it up a little over an inch all around which is the height im currently at. perfect for daily driving and the upcoming winter which in MD usually sucks.

Thanks bro, yeah im pretty excited for it. I cant wait to order wheels and drop it down some more.
Congrats on the s4 and welcome to the board! Get some winter tires for the stockies and wait for the MD snow to come:)
yeah im going to have to. I want to lower it more soooo badly but i know ill regret it in a month or so. But who knows, the way the weather has been lately maybe we wont have a winter this year thanks to global warming. 75 today WTF!?
Gotta love German maintenance. Went to the dealership to get price quotes on some work i need and got slapped in the face with a $5,500 bill(axles, control arms, 55k service, brakes/rotors, valve cover gaskets, alignment) I said hell NO!
I gave my buddy, who is an Audi specialist, the same receipt from the dealer and he says <$2,300!!
Kind of blown because i was going to use that money for a new set of 19 inch wheels but I guess that will have to wait now. I hope this is it for maintenance for a while.

Yeah, welcome to owning an Audi. They definitely aren't cheap, but I love my S so much that I don't care about the costs.

Your IS looked sick, so did the Evo.
Thanks bud. Yeah I dont mind paying for maintenance. I have always kept good care of my cars and I dont mind spending good money on maintenance as long as it makes the car last longer. I was expecting this just not all at once. Especially not this soon...

Yeah, that 55k service itself is a pretty hefty one if I recall correctly. I bought my car @ 58k miles so the dealer did it when they took it in, which saved me quite a bit.
Just the parts alone on everything you listed adds up pretty quick there. Glad your buddy said it'd be under $2,300 for all the same stuff that the dealer quoted, means he's definitely giving you a sweet deal on the labor.
Nice cars! I like the black grill. I want to do it on my B7 S4 Avant. My driveway would destroy that front lip on your IS lol. :) My M3 can barely make it in.
Sweet ride man! How much did you pick it up for? I had to search for about a month before I finally found a B7 that wanted. They are darn rare. And I agree with all that IS was sweet!

Thank you. It was pretty hard finding one. How rare are they?
I always wanted an evo..... I have almost bought one about 9-10 times. I love the evo IX seats, I love the exhaust note (call me crazy) and I love the performance, but I can't get over the cheap feel of the doors & plastic interior.... So I finally just bought an S4 2 months ago. So Far I absolutley love the v8 & the noise.
i already posted it, its the second picture in my thread. might not look like it but i only did the center block and the black mesh. kept the outside trim chrome. simple.
