So what's the good news Greg.

There's good news and bad news. The good news is I got the car started and it sounds sick, the bad news is I can't get it into gear so I think there is an issue with the flywheel bolts. I gotta think of how I'm gonna get this done now. Here's a quick video of the first startup.

Flywheel bolts doesn't make sense Greg. If that were the case the engine wouldn't turn over as they would jam on the rear main seal. I would be looking at the slave cylinder positioning, making sure that you have the shift fork lined up.
I know that doesn't sound like good news, but at least it won't require a engine/trans separation
I don't think I care anymore

Actually Ryan there's an issue wit the new spec stg3+ setups, using oem flywheel bolts will cause the friction disc not to fully seat onto the flywheel. I wish I knew this before installing the trans, I would've just used the bolts spec provided with the shorter head. Unfortunately it will require removal of the trans again. I'm gonna just flatbed my car to epl this week, have them finish it off.

Wow, I stand corrected. That sure is shitty. Hopefully my spec triple disc isn't the same, because I used 33mm OEM bolts instead of 43mm OEM bolts, so the heads are the same

you sure its the bolts, I ordered my spec 3+ also from EPL at the same time as yours and used oem bolts, car shifts and drives fine. The clutch is definitely grabby and will take some getting used to, but I would hate to see you pull everything apart just to find out its not the flywheel bolts. On the same token I am going to be pissed if I have to pull mine apart. Who told you the oem bolts wont work?

Here's a video of the clutch pedal movement. Honestly the more I think of it if there was any contact between the friction disc and flywheel bolt I'm sure I would be able to hear it. I'm gonna take vinnys advice and just give bleeding the slave another shot.

clutch pedal should spring all the way back.

Would not bleeding fully cause that, or am I looking at removing the trans?

Bleeding the clutch on these cars sucks. If not fully bled, the pedal can stick to the floor easily.
Are you sure your shifter is aligned correctly?

shifter alignment has nothing to do with the pedal, but it can cause gear selection issues.

Just got off the phone with EPL, it was actually the bolts causing the problem. They were great about getting it fixed ASAP and they have definitely got a new customer for life.
Also, thanks a lot to vinny who kept me up to date this whole time, I owe you a lot of beer lol

Ug, shitty. Now I am wondering if I need to pull mine apart to swap in the crappy SPEC hardware.....
Glad you got it figured out though!

Vin, rich told me its pretty much back together, they need the lift ASAP so they're finishing it up quickly. I'm guessing I'll pick it up on Thursday. I'll probably hop on metro north and pick it up.

Awesome. I'd love finished pics / vids, and possibly a total cost in parts of this build (if that's not a problem). Looking through everything he did, I wanna go that route...although I may look to get hybrid RS6 turbos instead of the K04s.
Awesome thread, Greg!

8 days until spring, not much time left to finish your meth install
