Another GIAC tune....how long have you had it, and what are your thoughts? I'm thinking about biting the bullet and going for it.

BTW, all you guys with your Audi's in Calgary go to Royal Oak Audi or Glenmore Audi for your free inspection for out of warranty cars. Runs until the end of March.

So far so good but have not really had a chance to "test" it. Maybe this weekend. Throttle response does seem much better though!

Only one I found in Winnipeg.

If you're willing to travel a bit, I'd imagine you may have better luck in Sask or Thunderbay.
EDIT:
In Regina, http://saskatchewan.kijiji.ca/c-cars...AdIdZ352924244
In Thunder Bay, http://thunderbay.kijiji.ca/c-cars-v...AdIdZ332356212
If you're willing to travel as far as Toronto and Calgary your market will get huge.

Nice. Talked with Tunerworks this past weekend about the tune at the auto show. Getting very tempted now.

Hey all checking in from Edmonton! Just brought an A4 Avant back from the States and looking to see if anyone has the VAG-Com cable in Edmonton and would like to help me turn on my DRLs? I will supply beer! Also, any suggestions for starting tuning? Thinking ECU chip but don't want to kill my mpg, thoughts? Starting point? Also, any recommendations for a good shop in Edmonton?

If no one in Edmonton offers a cable up to you, you can always just buy one off eBay for next to nothing. Things like DRL's and seat belt chimes don't need the full expensive version to code.
ECU chip is a great start, be it APR, REVO, or GIAC. With just the tune your mpg's shouldn't decrease too much if it all, some report theirs even go up. The only reason you'd see a substantial loss of gas mileage is because you'll now be wanting to have more fun with that right foot.

I have a legitimate Ross-Tech cable text me at 780-909-8520 to set up a time.
Also while I'm posting, I was wondering where you Alberta guys got your suspension installed? I've called around everywhere and got INSANE quotes, just for springs. So far I have...
Autobahn Performance - still waiting for an exact number, estimated at 5-6 hours.
Eurasia Automotive - $1100
Das Auto - anywhere from 3-6 hours (so far my best bet)
Tunerworks in Calgary (this one made me lol) - $1300, and as a kicker, $250 for alignment...
I really don't mind driving down for a day to Calgary to get a good deal or good service. Suggestions appreciated!

^^ I did mine myself in my garage. Took me about 4 hours to do all four (1 hr / coilover). Not a difficult job at all.
Then I took my car for an alignment which was around $150.00. For alignments I just go wherever is closest, for mechanical I go to TuneDub.
That being said I would call George @ TuneDub and see what he would charge you for installation as he will likely be less then the other places.

^^ That Das Auto quote doesn't sound too bad. Tunedubs where I take my car in Calgary, I'd imagine his quote would be <5hours.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll give them a call today. As for doing it myself, I don't have the tools or the skills required to do such a job.

That's good to hear, if the guys at Tunedub can't get me a much better deal I will most likely end up going with Das Auto.
I'll be sure to give you a heads up and bring my cable!

Hey everybody, brand new S5 owner checking in. Loving the car so far, even though an old lady drove into me after 5 days on the road. No real damage other than bumper marks on my car that's getting polished out Friday. Was considering a 335i, but after driving the S5 it was an easy decision, not to mention that there are thousands of 3 series around. I've had my car for 3 weeks and haven't seen another S5 yet.

As far as local shops, no love for Calgary Auto Works? I've been going there a lot and they are crazy knowledgeable.
