I would assume you put the intercooler back in for this testing. What spark plugs are you running? I would bet that the AEB coils just can't produce a spark at that cylinder pressure. FSI coil upgrade in the future?
AEB coils are some damn strong stock coils. They should easily be good for +500whp so I don't think its them.
Maybe turn up your coil dwell a little bit in those higher boost areas.
haha no. That would be fun though. The photo was taken while loading the car onto the trailer to head about 35min north to the shop that is attempting to tune this thing.
no. They would probably send me the wrong one, over price it, it wont install correctly, and it has nothing to offer me compared to the big boy EMS's.
Haltech and DTA also come to mind is anyone on here running these?
I have been running 034 IIC for about 7 years, cant complain seeing that my car makes a good amount of power. Pete went 034 Ic after having nothing but issues with his Eurodyne tune, he seems to be pretty happy with the Ic.
What does your intake piping/layout look like? Which Maf sensor and housing are you running?
90* off turbo strait to brand new OEM Audi V8 MAF, then a strait pipe from MAF to filter which sits just behind the fog light area. No bends prior to MAF to insure good flow.
It doesn't matter anymore though I am glad I am getting out of Eurodyne and going standalone, Its what I wanted to do from the start.
Want to sell me your Eurodyne box? Is that Audi MAF 3.5 or 4"?
I'm getting a full refund for it tomorrow. But I do have the brand new MAF and 90* elbow with literally 0 miles on it, just a few hours of attempting to tune. the MAF is 3.5" I believe. I will be posting it for sale here tomorrow if you do not want it.
idk. The shop that did the flash is an authorized Eurodyne dealer in contact with tapp. Id assume they stock the correct MAF's. I'm pretty sure its 3.5"
Dude I might be tripping out actually. I could have sworn mine is 4" and two other guys I know have 4" as well.
I'm not at home to measure mine currently.
I know the old tapp tunes for the AEB(not the maestro) used a ford 4" maf. I am not 100% sure which MAF they use now for the maestro on that car, could be a Audi MAF now.

You plan on ditching the stock cluster, or placing the Race Pak over it?
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like the bitch
FS:Brand New K&N Air Filter RU-3700 (3" inlet, 5" base, 4" tall, 4 5/8" top), Brand New 3" Injen (Amsoil) Dry Filter Setup with Heat Shield, Brand New OEM 06A Oil Pump, Used Greddy Intercooler...throw me some offers

haven't decided yet, I was thinking about taking the cluster out and making a nice frame to mount everything in and wrap it with carbon fiber. (would consist of IQ3, manual boost gauge as backup to the IQ3's digital, and oil pressure) probably add some other things too. Haven't thought about it much so far.
or
mount the IQ3 over the stock cluster so I can still see the idiot lights. (blinkers, high beam, stock fuel guage) but it wont look as nice..

in a pickle..
leave it in, the cluster is still going to be used for a lot more than dummy lights.

like what?
the one thing that really worries me about just mounting the IQ3 over the stock cluster is that this is my daily driver and I'm worried I'll be parked on the street or in a parking lot, some punk is going to see it just mounted on my dash and smash a window and jack it.

Grab an old /broken(if possible) cluster from someone, open it up, take out just the part with the gauges printed on it, and set it over the top of the racepak when you are parked

That gauge would be hard for me to deal with and, to be honest, a deal breaker to run that ems. I'm all about a clean look. Idk how you can get around that.
