Looks like a significantly better system then the old one, not sure how I feel about the slip fit right after the crossover, but significant improvement and glad to see a 2.5"
Any plans to make the Milltek Catless Dp's in true 2.5" form?

The exhaust looks great and I'm glad that companies are finally starting to reconsider the B6/B7 S4 market. However this is still a pretty hefty premium over the FI catback.
Much much better. Props to you for being a game changer. Price is still a little bit high - double that of the proven FI system. Get Miltek to cut some of their massive margin
There has been discoloration at the welds, but I've never seen it be a problem on the silencer skins. All product that I buy from Milltek is thoroughly cleaned to remove that discoloration. Milltek uses type 304 low carbon stainless steel. Corrosion resistance weakens with hotter temps. Rest assured, Milltek is not using inferior products in any way. Quite a while back, they were provided with a batch of inferior endplates that caused some cracks at welds, but that has long since been rectified and we took care of all those affected. Thats the only quality issue I know of. I've been working with Milltek to take great steps towards improving the appearance of their systems so it properly matches the great sound they produce.
Back to pricing- Once some video clips become available, we'll see what everyone's thoughts are on the system. If there is enough interest, I'll place a larger order, resulting in a lower price.
I'm working on getting a status of B7 tips. The guys at Milltek are at Autosport, so they're tough to reach for a few days.

there is no baffles or chambers inside the mufflers. its just a perforated 2.5" tube that passes straight through from the inlet to the outlet (on a B7, it splits into a "Y" internally"). The perforated tube is wrapped in stainless steel wool and the remaining void is filled. Its the least restrictive way.

I want these downpipes..... but first I want to see pictures, then I need to figure out how to make them work with my FI catback. It bottlenecks to 2.25 for stock downpipes
very interested in seeing the new downpipes, good to see a downstream set finally
+1. I don't think I'll ever be in the market to actually buy a set (as I'd just as soon make my own), but I'll definitely be going the 2.5" + low/rear-mounted cats route. It'd be nice to see a downpipe on the market for people who care about emissions and/or stink and want top performance. Hopefully the cat is large enough not to cause a restriction.

here's a quick shot of the new DP's. Please note: they haven't been cleaned yet. What you see is NOT rust, its just discoloration from the welds. I'll have better pics in a few weeks.

Hi Greg,
Not sure if my name slipped from your list, but it's been two years, and I still have issues with my Milltek and cracks in the weld/discoloration.
Good on you guys for the redesign, can't wait to hear it.

Edit: Sorry Greg, I had you confused with someone else. Please ignore this post.
I hear this system shipped and received by another AZ member. Care to share details?
Angelo,
Member Docwyte is testing/evaluating the prototype system. Once video clips and pictures are posted and there seems to be positive feedback, we'll move forward with a batch of B6 and B7 systems.

Greg,
What's the word on the exhaust for the RS4? Are we going to see any change with our system or are they keeping the 60mm pipe size?
I dont have confirmation from Milltek on this yet. It will most likely be a couple months before we could produce a test system.
