    Hello All,

I just bought a 1990 V8q for $350......it runs well and all maintenances have been performed as far as I know. The catch is that I now have to do a title search since the guy that I bought it from didn't have a title... Luckily the car has already been previously titled in Colorado so that should help the process somewhat. I have about 20+ years in dealership parts experience including Audi/VW for about 4 years (02 thru 06) and was working in that industry until the Gov't bailed out Chrysler and GM (I was working for a Chrysler dealership, one that was closed). Now all that's out the window and after a year of looking for work I decided to go back to school. Now for a couple of questions. 1) Is there anything that I should be looking at that could potentially cause problems for a 21 year old car to quit running, i.e., ignition switch, ECM module power relay, etc.? 2) What kind of 15" wheels that would fit that particular vehicle since it has 'UFO' brakes? The current wheels have the wrong offset so they stick out beyond the wheel-wells by about 1 inch...NOT a good thing since the body is in perfect condition. That's it for now. I was looking for an older A8 but they're still kind of steep (since I'm a poor student) so $350 just screamed at me 'DO IT!!!' Thank you in advance for everyone's help and suggestions.

Sorry I don't have inside photos....these I took last month when I was working out how to buy this thing. Aside from the minor front end damage in the RH corner headlight door and the bumper cover and the right-hand side of the hood doesn't align properly and a very small ding on the corner of the hood, it's in great shape!! I'll try to post interior pics soon.....

The V8's are great cars, parts are horrendously expensive, and many V8 specific items you cannot buy new. Insurance is also 3-4 times the cost of my 2002 Audi A6 4.2. The 4HP24 is junk if it's not properly serviced.

$350 seems about right in the condition that the car is and no Title

I haven't a clue but I haven't moved the car from where its been parked for a few months to where I can really look it over. I'm going to do that tomorrow. I do know that those wheels aren't right for this car, the offset is wrong and they stick out from all the wheel-wells by about an inch or so. You can see it in the picture above taken from the RH front corner view. I'm going to have to look for some correct offset wheels for this vehicle before I start driving it. When I find out what kind of wheels they are, if you're interested, I'll let you know......

Roughly similar in looks and design to the Camaro IROC wheels but not even close.....
