New to me: S4 Avant

Picked up my dream car last weekend.

B5 S4 Avant (6 Speed). Made in 11/00 so i believe its an M Box Car? Does this make it an 01 or 01.5?

Bone Stock 1 owner Middle aged Professor at Suffolk University in Boston MA.

This is the first time for this car on Audizine

1 Small scratch on the bumper, thats it. Everything works except the speakers in the rear doors (which i am workin on)

Could not be more excited to join the audi domain.

Interior Detail (With a toothbrush and a vacuum)...went ocd

craigslist by chance...it came up, i got my crap together went and test drove it...everything checked out so i bought it...figured i wouldnt be able to get my hands on another avant in my price range for a while...so i did it

That is very cool glad you were able to snag one. I've been searching ebay motors,craigslist,auto trader but no luck yet. If you don't mind me asking around what price range did you pick it up for and how many miles?

its got just over 150xxx high miles i know...if i have any say it will go another 150xxxx

im not afraid of high miles as i am more than capable of performing any work myself..and so i got it for just over 6.. i think it was a decent deal, its got a new clutch an another 10k til the t belt etc are "due" last done by audi at the "recommended 93k"

idk all said and done i havent seen a non molested avant for any cheaper (automatics included) so i jumped on it

the pixels between the tach and speedo still work almost all the time too

either they all work or the radio station is a little dim...

Good thing you didn't buy a Noggy sedan, or else one of you would be selling it ;) (you know who i'm talking about, lol)

Its crazy how haev a sedan and getting an Avant is more relaxing. Having more space, cops really don't pay any attention to you, no one thinks your wagon has balls!

Like just this morning, some dude in a Nissan Sentra with gauges on the A pillar (not sure if it was FI or not; my windows were up) raced at a stop light and i easily pulled away from him. next light he was like shit dude, i didn't know your wagon was going to be that fast, lol

and for the record, this happened on a closed course ;)

Wish THAT were true. This spring I was pulled over by Montana HP in the morning and Wyoming HP a few hours later. 1st time only rolling 4mph over in MT, 2nd time I was "following a truck too close" For the record, I moved over, into the lane behind the truck, to allow safe distance from HP on side of road dealing with another car. I was actually further from the truck, than the HP on my ASS for a mile before he flipped the lights on.... ah, yeah, whatever. See below, has NC plates, and I ws heading east. I guess this looks like a drug dealer car?
