    just got a winter set up will 245/45 17 fit on the 06 a3 without rubbing..??

    You mean low offset. ie. ET45 or less. If you're running stock wheels with ET54 and on stock height, you should be fine. What size width wheel are you running? OEM is 7.5. If so, 245 is a tad wide, but still driveable. It's actually better to run narrower tires for better snow traction.

    You mean high offset, like ET45 or higher.

    Actually ET45 might even rub if they are 8" or wider. Stock wheels should be OK.

    I have no idea guy I bought them from was running them on an a4 2005 I think maybe I should look to trade them off

    WHY would you run 245 tires in the winter? Winter set ups are not about style-**-they are about traction. The skinnier the tires the better for winter traction. getting 245s is just asking for inferior performance.

    i didnt buy them for the tires i was looking to get a set of rims one of mine bent so i found these for a incredible price bought i will probably put them for sale and get something different

    the lower the offset number, the FURTHER OUT it will poke. High offset will go towards tucking INSIDE the fender, low offset will go towards poking OUT beyond the fender.
