won't do more than 1800rpm!?!

so i got about a 1/4 mile from my house yesterday and my car shut off! it cranked very slow when i restarted it, and oddly the check engine light for my rear o2 was gone, and now it will only do 1800rpm. i hooked up my vag, and it has no codes and is not in limp mode. any ideas

Miles? When was the last time the timing belt and water pump were changed?

Might be a simple question but is there gas in the car? I had an occasion where I was kind of far away from a gas station and I was on fumes. About 1/8 mile away from the gas station I was just about out of gas and my car wouldn't go over about 2000 RPMs .

136k miles, the water pump, all of the valves, timing belt, tensioner, rollers, and PS pump all have less than 10k on them (i sheared the keyway in my crank pulley 10k ago) and yes my gas cap is tight, and i'm at half a tank. my fuel pump is a bosch repacement unit that has less than 30k on it. i have also tried a new air flow meter and ignition module, and compression is good on all cylinders. this one really has me stumped. i'm starting to wonder if my ECU took a crap.

i know that there is a PES tune for my turbo, and the MIKA tune, i have the old ATP software from before they came out with the eliminator kits. Anybody know what other tunes work with a GT28R (GT2560R)?
