haha yeah man . thats on the list as well, but i just need the car back up and running first to at least get back and forth to work .. im thinking a conservative maestro tune at first .. any idea how much stock tip tranny can hold ?

I've answered this question before in this very same thread previously. The following applies PROVIDED your clutch packs are GOOD:

The 5HP19 will handle anything a GT28 series turbo can throw at it. It's the torque converter that is questionable and whether or not it will hold the added power without slip

The 5HP19 mated to an upgraded torque converter will allow it to handle torque up to 330 - 350ft-lbs.

The 5HP19 with an upgraded valve boy & upgraded torque converter will handle torque in the mid 400s and engine horsepower in the low 500s

I ran one on my old Type X..

It did the job well, if it's cheap , go for it.

I've owned a profec-b spec 2 and currently an eboost. Both are great. However, stay away from the profec unit as they become "scrambled" and don't hold boost. Greddy is no longer in business (so I've heard) so there is no support if something goes bad.

Plus, an eboost street is very easy to adjust and has red LED illumination that matches the factory illumination damn near perfect.
