some guy selling a reconditioned t28,with all the rest of the pes kit with tuning,im reading alot of mixed opinions,i see that alot of the guys here that are running the bigger setups now used to run the pes t28 kit...im a worried about the tune, although it is a GIAC tune which should be fine based on their other work. also not so worried but i read that the turbo likes to break bolts and the manifold doesnt like stress ,not that it would be driven anyways hard.

mike ,a4rob ,and bikestai are some who i see used to run it ...anybody else please give your 2c.

its either this or wait untill spring and go gtrs elim with a cm fx400, as i like the OEM kinda thing, ive already considered the frankenturbo kit but doesnt seem like any tuner is 100% off the shelf ready with tuning for an aeb

I think you will be happier with the gtrs elim with unitronic tune. Biketsai had nothing but problems with the PES tune during his T28 days.

wierd thing is i am searching for threads and posts for AEB people running a gtrs elim but im havenig trouble finding them too,i would like to get firsthand opinions on tunes as ive heard eurodyne and unitronic and some others do gtrs tunes for an elim, not so many AEB reviews to be found on any.

I would suggest Unitronics over Eurodyne. Chris TAPP doesnt seem to support OTS tunes anymore.

My T28 kit was decent power, but it had all the normal T28 kit problems. I blew a dime size hole in the manifold because of a weak casting. The bolts also like to break and they can not be found anywhere. ARP wouldn't even sell them to me when I gave them the specs.

That is because he was using the actual PES tune not the one done by GIAC.

I had no problems with my PES kit, but then I really only had it for about a year and GIAC used my car for tuning.

OP - I would just save up for the Elim kit since you are not going to find any type of support for the used PES kit if you have problems with it.

I'm also curious what the AEB engine can handle on a GTRS as far as HP and torque.

i just love the idea of having a nice stealthy stock located setup running a healthy 270awhp,that is what they can make right??after that i would rather go chipped B5 S4 than go all out BAT,never owned anything other than 4cyl cars so everytime i hear the biturbo v6 in videos and on the street i want one...

lol I wonder if this was my T28 kit I was selling around this time. Good thing you didn't buy it, the guy who did said it smokes like crazy now. I believe he is taking the matter up with the turbo shop I had rebuild it.
