August 2010.. About a month with the fresh tune and about 10,000 miles on the engine configuration.... CT to CO and back with zero hiccups. My favorite part of the whole trip was Pike's Peak.
Right now my 2002 has 160,000 miles on the chassis. Haven't done much beyond mods. Maintenance has been typical stuff here and there (timing belt, brake pads, etc..). Nothing over the top to make you go "oh fuck, there goes my wallet".

Euro tails and Vag-Com'd, RS4 Rear Sway, big plans, small budget
When I lived in NoVA several years ago, my Avant went all over the place. Short trips like Baltimore & Philly, longer trips such as Sebring (3x), Radford, Pitt, Cleveland, Toledo, Marietta, Raleigh, OBX. Summit Point & VIR couple times a year. Moved to Philly, drove up into NNJ a lot.
Now I've moved back west. Brought my DD with me on the trip as it's Jap and reliable :-P Avant will be getting put on a transporter in the next couple weeks to get out here, so it'll get an easy x/c trip.
I've just turned 150,000 km this last weekend. Drivin a number of the local tracks on tourist days, southern France, numerous Alps crossings (love Switzerland and Austria) and, my favorite the Stelveto Pass.
This is the only snap I've ever been able to locate of a track day.
Here is a fun drive since you like MTN passes...If you are down in Southern France...Monaco, go east to Menton look for the Col De La Madone, from the main drag in Menton it is a 90 degree turn inland, you can goup thru the serre de la madone.
Anyway this will take you up to Peille and over the Col De La Madone, from there you can always descend back down into La Turbie or Eze ( you would be going west south west ) and drop back down into Monaco.
Great drive of switchbacks, sheer cliff drops and FUN....

Bought my C5 with 100,000 Miles 2 years ago this weekend... As of tomorrow she will have 180,000miles on her.... Those are just the miles we put on here... Not the 20,000 we put on the Lancer... 35,000 on the Passat... Or the 42,000 on the Eurovan all during that same period....

I think those that are posting the mileage of their cars are confused as to what the intent of this thread is.....
Well, the OP wasn't really clear. "How far into the world your avant has gone". What does that really mean? Is he trying to find out what the longest road trip you've been on in an avant? Does that mean one-way or round trip?
For example, I've driven a whoppin' 375 miles one way to Whistler, crossing into another country along the way. So would my answer be 375? or would it be 750, even though my car more or less sat for a week between coming and going?
My warranty expired after owning my B6 for 18 months as I exceeded the 80,000km
For a trip it would be from Vancouver, BC to Reno for a track event, then to Vegas, then to LA and then back home. So about 3000 miles round trip.
I was a total n00b back then and did the track event and the whole road trip on the same set of tires AND I had a flat so I was out a spare. Looking back I am lucky I made it home.
