Hey guys, let me introduce myself properly.....My name is Damir, I am 20 years old, and live in Ottawa Canada. Although this is my first own Audi, my family has owned several in the past. Pops used to be an engineer for Mercedes-Benz and collected old-timers when we lived in Europe so although I might be good with tools, he'll have to guide me through the more technical stuff .
Pics from the day I purchased it from the dealership:
2.0L Turbo, Dolphin Grey on Black, 6 Speed Manual, Quattro, Sport + Premium Package. Previous owner was a lady (grr) from Toronto who had it maintained @ Audi of Mississauga. Anyway, its all stock right now and I am still learning to drive it but I got a HUGE list of plans for it and more creative pictures are on the way

During the inspection at the local dealership I specifically paid them to take apart the cam follower/fuel pump to look at the cam lobe and examine it for wear. As we all know, these cars are notorious for cam follower wear damaging any or all of these components and there was a number of different noises coming from that part of my engine so I was nervous and was hoping to get them replaced under the extended manufacturer warranty. Like I said, the previous owner was a lady so I am assuming it was the original follower @ 108,900 KM but it wasn't that bad at all:
I asked to look at the car while everything was off and the fuel pump looked fine, but my cam had some scratches which I was told was normal. Anyway, while everything was off I bought a follower from them ($65) and just got them to put it in and asked for my old one back. I will be checking it again in 10,000 KM.

Thanks! This is just a thread to keep track of what I've done when and what's left.
I'll take some really nice pics with my SLR in the fall when I get a couple more things done do it before I call of this season off to the winter cold.

fyi - I will not be lowering it. I need its height for our crazy winters. Nor will I be chipping it or adding any performance parts that decrease fuel economy as that is very important to me (money + environmentally conscious decision).

My name is Damir too! I am a bit older at 22 and just graduated from UVM in VT. You don't see the name Damir too often so I had to comment. Nice ride and have fun modding.

Chipping actually increases your fuel economy. Just don't slam the pedal to the floor.
->I'm in Montreal. We get way more snow than you. I am pretty low haha.
Never had a problem.

headlight pics now? and what seller did you get the trunk lip from? Looks good!
Still haven't installed them lol...been sitting in my basement for 2-3 months. Will get around to it next summer.
As for the ebay seller I bought from, I am not sure as it was months ago, but this is pretty much what I got. You just include the color code in the notes, and it was almost an exact match...Better than I could have done, especially for the price.

Hey wildcat, well I've got 99% of the parts I planned to install on the car but they've been sitting in my basement for the past 2 months Its been a mild winter so far but I just ran out of time to install everything....gonna be a busy summer 2012 for me though haha
Recently bought;
1)replica S4 door blades ($220 shipped, pretty good quality, ebay)
2)jhm short shifter ($270 shipped, jhm sale)
3)rs4 ebrake ($100 shipped, ecs)
Now I want to throw up clear sidemarkers onto my list but I've tried to remove my stock ones 3 times already (with credit cards, gift cards, flat head screw drivers, from the front, from behind, EVERYTHING) but I just can't and it's too much work to remove my entire rear bumper (front is easy but I want them to match). I hope to find someone local who has done it before to help me out

Hey OP how are the LED kit working out for you?
Are your headlights Bi-Xenon or not?
Hey Emil, interior LED kit is still holding up great So are the LP bulbs you included in the kit but they do throw error codes in my color DIS B7. But, I still use them because of the large heat spreaders because other "error free" lights also throw codes but on top of that they run VERY hot.
My headlights are halogen () but I still have your HID kits sitting in my basement since the summer because I also bought new headlights but I haven't had time to install them

Thats good to hear man :)
I am in the works of trading/selling my car for a B6 S4 noggy avant or B7 A4 like yours and seems like nether dealerships have time to get back to me. Seems like selling the B5 S4 would be the smartest choice since one of the dealerships locally was like "$4300 for trade in". I almost shed a tear when i heard that. Ether way I am really looking forward to newer car.
How you liking your B7? Any major repairs or maintenance since you bought it?

I'd take a B7 A4 for reliability and looks but maybe the B6 S4 for performance. Its at 116,000KM (72,500 miles) and I've only had to do one oil change, spark plugs and cam follower as maintenance, but my coils were showing signs of being on their way out so I did swap them. All in all, very minor and scheduled maintenance stuff only, although I do have my timing belt and water pump scheduled for this summer...

Finally got a chance to try out my Vag-com setup (dedicated laptop plus the cable) and it works perfectly to read codes, clear them, reset service indicator, and program specific modules too.
Used it today to:
1) enable remote windows
2) enable 1 click lock/unlock
2) disable seat belt chime + dash indicator
3) enable euro headlights
