Hmmm, would B6 perches work on all 4 corners of a B5 S4? Mine's too low due to aftermarket springs.

wow amazing, something I would definitely consider. I was thinking, before and after from a front corner perspective would maybe do better justice, but the side view is more than enough proof for me. nice.

    AA or Jason,
Do you know if these perches are the same from a late '01 S4? This looks like a perfect solution for my '04 S4 on Koni's and stock springs and I just happen to have the old stock suspension from my old B5 S4 which has all of 30K miles on it and is in great shape.

    thanks.

    Cheers,
    Jim

    Jim,

They should all be the same. Only thing that changed over the years on the B5 S4 suspension was early '00 models had aluminum uprights and the ball joint was smaller in the lower front control arm.

Later models got steel uprights with the larger ball joint. Shocks, springs, and the rest of the suspension was all the same.

    I hope this helps!

anyone know if the 2000 A6 is at all the same seat / perch as the A4? Found a local guy that has some, I doubt they're the same, just a shot in the dark.

B6 cars don't have perches in the rear suspension. The spring sits separate from the shock, unlike the B5 which has a coilover design.

ECS I'm looking for a small drop up front just like the OP. Can you confirm if these will give any drop up front on a B7 or is this just an OEM replacement part? Thank you!!! http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_S4-.../OEM/ES436988/

Thanks for the quick response! So these also fit the B7 too huh? Just awesome. I want to eventually move to an adjustable coilover system but just don't have the funds right now. This seems like a great solution to bring down my front end wheel gap a bit until I can purchase the coilovers. Much appreciated guys!

They should. I'm pretty sure the B6/B7 suspension are very similar if not identical but we can't 100% guarantee since we haven't tested them on a B7.

Will a wheel alignment be required afterwards? Yes?

I don't know about required, but an annual alignment and (off topic) frequent wheel balancing never hurts.

I would probably go ahead and have it done again if you plan on doing this. Camber wont change much but your toe setting could be off slightly.
