Thought I'd post up some stuff about my car as I plan to be doing a fair amount of modding soon. My 2011 A3 was purchased as a "never-titled" corporate demo in April of this year, it is Brilliant Black with Light Gray interior, it has the Sport Package, S-Tronic Transmission and the panoramic roof. I originally planned on coils (), wheels, tint, tune, exhaust and roof rack but I now want to expand that a but more (get into that later). I so far have only had the $$ and time to do coilovers (STs, installed by a fellow AZer) but plan on ordering wheels/roof rack soon.
My trunk partition thing had a bit of an accident today and is all scraped up, any thoughts on where to find a new one? not the one with the storage container thing on top, just the flat one.
No just debadge and blacked out my fogs and some grille trim pieces, grille surround is next. I'm going to use your earlier advice and save up for NUEs as opposed to getting crappy, heavy reps. Cupra R lip will be here whenever OEM Plus isn't back ordered. Thats about it, may get some tint done soon.
Small update: the reason I've been so slow to mod the A3 is that im working on acquiring a '95 Daytona Violet M3 coupe as a side project/spec e36 racer. The A3 will still get wheels and most likely exhaust and a chip but instead of fighting my local stealership about scrapes and aftermarket parts I'll now have a proper "project" of sorts.
to bad that there aren't a3's really in any junk yards because you could find parts there if you needed to.
Good luck
Thanks and I've tried to find parts locally for my car and they are just non-existent, the audi scene here is small and I'm the only A3 owner on this site locally.
I ve just fitted the same coilovers yesterday on my 3.2, have not drive the car yet since it is waiting for its alignement this morning, but what I can already see it's that my back is sitting fuck*ng low, even with the perch unscrewed All the way... At the highest setting, my back is a bit lower than my front at quite the lowest setting. WTF ?!
Did you experience the same trouble?
I just screwed the perches by 4 turns (do not really want go screw less than that) and the tire is quite flush with the arche; 'till in front quite at the lowest thread I can put one or two fingers between the tire and the fender...
I think the issue you're having is specific to the Quattro model, my friend has a TT and his front goes MUCH lower than the rear. They are 10mm spacers by the way.
Crusty, you need to let the coils settle a bit, ride them out for about a week or two before getting an alignment, you might have to adjust them.
I had the same issue and I'm on KW V3's, I felt like I could dump the rear but the front wouldn't go as slow, road them for two weeks and te front is at a perfect stance.

Are you telling me that the front will sit lower in one or two weeks ? I hope my rear won't...cause it is already quite too low for a winter setup to me eyes...
Please have a look to how it sit 2 days after the installation:
Thanks man, like he said just let the coils settle and post up in about a week and let us know if anything has changed. I forgot that some people's cars had to do that, my car wass fine the day I got them put on but settled down about 1/4 of an inch.
