    B5 widest wheels pic request

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am trying to find some pics of a b5 platform with some 18x9" and 18x11" wheels more specifically but something close would do it too.

I am trying to see how they would look depending on the offset and how the fenders were dealt with and such...

    I have 3 piece wheels
    18x9 et 45 (2.5" lip with 7.5" barrel)
    18x11 et 25 (4.5" lip with 7.5" barrel)

    and I'll be mounting
    235/40/18 on front
    265/35/18 on rear

I dont believe that you can get anything wider than a 9.5 in the rear on the narrow body cars. I have seen a few people with rs4 widebody setups running 10 inch all around. The problem you run into is the upper knuckle in the rear. ive run 18x9 rears et 35 with rolled fenders and they fit flush.

I'm sorry, but you are definitely wrong. Wes rocks 10s in the rear with 225s

There are lots of guys running the keskin kt1 wheels which are 18x8.5 in front with et30 and 18x10 with et25 on the back.
    Here's an example:
    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...T1-s?styleid=8

my 18x12 that I have clear the upper knuckle no problem, it just that it sticks out a little too much. I have pulled my fenders about 30mm and I will be running stretched tires on that. But I am afraid it wont be enough...as of now the wheel still sticks out about 1.75"

Fronts are perfect since they are 18x10 with a pulled fender and stretch..

That looks good. Do you know the offset of those wheels? Is he running a spacer at all? Are they 18s? (they look like 18 just need confirmation)

Oh and I was just thinking, what is Wes running for tires front and back? I will be running 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 in order to keep the overall rolling circumference of fronts and backs the same. (to not damage the diff)

I definitely wasn't trying to jump down your throat. But I know this game is all about low and wide, and every year it gets lower and wider.

    Oh and his specs

No issues here. But with the camber I do rub shock mount on hard bumps.

how much camber are you at?

I just realized ( i dunno how I didnt think of this before), since my wheels are 3pc, the width is as follows (correct me if I am wrong)

fronts are made of a 2.5" lip with a 7.5" barrel so the true width is 9" not 10"
and rears are a 4.5" lip with a 7.5" barrel so true width is 11" not 12"

I dont know how much camber. Whatever it is my car decided to do at that height.
Keep in mind. Lower you go the more camber you will have.

^ and for your widths....why are you subtracting 1"??
And have you taken into account the width of the face between lip and barrel?

I was on low already and had under 1deg of camber. I dont think i'll go much lower since the car sees occasional track and i need it to be functional.

The reason I am subtracting 1" is because it depends on how you measure. I did a little research and proper way to measure is from inside of beads like so:

I get 12" if i add the width of lip and barrel or measure from outside of bead to outside of bead, but I get 11" if I measure like the photo shows.

I don't want to be rude but no one asked for opinions on whether you like it or not...or anyone for that matter. The point of this thread is not to get people's opinion on how it looks.

You have something that looks better with a wide tire? You're welcome to share.

PS: if it was sarcasm, i take what i said back...

I know, now I am considering either doing metal work or adding some wide flares or getting a narrower lip for the rears..

ipop, in your picture is your suspension compressed? They won't poke that much with load on them as you will increase camber as you compress the suspension in the rear.

No, its in the air, I know they will go in more..just not sure how much..we'll see soon..I had 10mm spacers on when I tested the wheels, but I will have 15mm adapters when I actually put them on so another 5mm on top...theres too many variables to be able to get a proper image of what is gonna happen, thats why I want to wait for wheels with tires and adapters to be all put on and car dropped on the ground..

i just replaced my vmaxx's with some S4 ST's on saturday and its sitting way lower now(aggressive offsets/wide wheels and vmaxx's DO NOT MIX. shit bottomed out like crazy and slammed the rear lip into my passenger fender). ill get some more shots of the rear when i get a few extra minutes.

you sir were an inspiration for me..i have that thread bookmarked :)
I was shopping for the kt1's because of you and couldnt find them anywhere and as I was searching I stumbled across these wheels and couldnt pass up the deal...

However if you have thoughts of selling them I have a friend with an S4 that will buy them from you in no time.

my wheel sticks out about 1.75" with a pulled fender. How much does that stick out past the fender for you?
