    B5 Armrest Lids

This is a HUGE problem with the B5 and B6 community. I think it would be a great idea to have a group buy with these units. Just the lids for a "plug and play" setup.

Yes! I'm so down for one as long as I can get an s4 one in the white color. I think the dealer calls it silver onyx? Been looking for a used one for almost three months solid without any luck.

Oh crap, good idea. I would not only want the lid, but the center arm rest section (not the entire center console). But if it is just the lid, I'll take that. Black leathurette, por favor.

Which AZ vendor would be able to do a GB on these? I noticed GBs don't really get rolling unless initiative is taken. Just wanted to know which vendors to PM.

If you guys get enough interest I'll put an inquiry in for a GB on the arm rest lids!

Post up so I can forward the thread to the owners - it will be more convincing!

I can see what pricing from Europe would be, often this stuff is way less expensive than US sources. I'd need to know the colors and if it's leather/leatherette.

I would be interested in just the lid as well. I have a 99 A4 1.8t black leatherette.

    Thanks,

So 2X black leatherette and 1X silver onyx (leather I'm assuming?) Leather is 2X cost of leatherette BTW generally.

Uhhhhh. Just need the leathurette lid in black. haha

And not to be that guy, but I have seen OEM prices in the upper $150+ for just a lid. I'm not really willing to pay that. I would rather try and redo it myself.

AT one time in the past I imported a few leatherette armrest lids for ~90.00 each. Leather was about ~200.00. But that was a few years ago. I'll see if I can negotiate pricing for say 5 lids and go from there.

I'm not sure what the nappa differences are. I saw references to lids being different with and without pre installed Phone. If you guys can forward me your interior trim code I can chase it from that angle.

The trim code is found on the spec tag in the spare tire well. Refer to this image, the circled code is the trim color.

Foy anyone who cares: I can verify that the B6/A4 armrest lids and C5/A6 (1998 to 05 I think) armrest lids are nearly identical~ you an easily swap the 'cover' of your B6 lid to a non-broken A6 lid.
FWIW the armrests are nearly identical also. The side-trim is shaped a little different at the base, (where it meets the console) and the A6 armrest sits about 1.5" shorter. If you made the hole in your console a little larger and square, an A6 armrest would be a direct fit. If you need black you'd be in luck- they're barely different. And the A6 leather is usually real leather.
Pretty sure the lid wouldn't fit a B5 A4, similar shape, but the hinge for the lid is quite a different shape.
When you're the only one making sense, chances are no one else understands you.

I need a Onyx black leatherette lid as well for my 01 A4.

I hope this goes somewhere. Every site I've found wants over 200 for the lid alone.
