Major electrical issue. ECU? ABS light on solid, e-brake light flashing. RPM bounce

Hey everyone. Finally put my motor back in my car after two years of being apart. Before I pulled the motor (2.8 30V), it was running really rough, rpm bounce everytime it gets up to 1500ish rpm, then clears up after that. I figured it was a timing issue.

While the motor was out, the following parts were replaced:
    -Clutch (southbend stage 3)
    -Flywheel (singal mass billet)
-Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, idlers, and tensioner
    -motor, trans and snub mount

Got it back in yesterday. Same rpm bounce. ABS light on solid, e-brake light flashing. Also once I get the rpm above the bounce range from 1500-2000 rpm, it feels like the throttle wont go above 30%.

All the reading I've done is pointing to the ABS module, but for some reason I can't communicate with the ECU... I've also heard that the ABS module can effect other modules downstream and choke them out, but I thought the ECU would be upstream from the ABS module.

Should I disconnect the ABS module and see if I can re-gain communication to the ECU?
    Any help would be appreciated.

I tried un plugging the ABS module and trying it again with the scanner. I can't get in to any of the modules at all. I pulled the ECU to check for green connectors and damage on the ECU board itself. Nothing obvious.

I would check the diagnostic (OBDII) fuse. It is a fuse specifically for the diagnostic connector which could be causing your communication problems. Other than that, it is hard to say without codes. The RPM issues could be engine speed sensor related. On the 2.8's I think that speed sensor runs off the flywheel, so there could be an issue due to the aftermarket flywheel. I'd get the codes first.

Yea that's the next thing I'm going to check when I have a chance.

I doubt the RPM issue is flywheel related, it was happening before I changed the clutch and flywheel. The car sat for a year or so, when I went to move it, that's when the RPM issues started. Then it sat for another couple years with the motor out. Could it possibly need an ECU re-program?

I'm going to check out the OBD system today at some point and post my findings

OBD fuse's were fine. Only new info is that my radio keeps blowing 20A fuses... Don't think it's related.. but who knows

sent the car to audi, expecting a LARGE bill...

ended up being the damn RADIO! shorted out, causing a screw up in the "babling node" computer system....
2 hrs labour for diagnosis, much less than expected.

Nice to have her back on the road :D
