Ok so the only way I can see us being recognized as being a legitimate Audi club is by beating the number of posts currently in the Montral Audi Club string currently at 746. Now these posts do not have to be pertaining to anything automotive related, or hell even literate, we just need numbers here people. Posts about meets at donut shops and the like will be accepted. Pictures are welcome, except from Antoine. Particularly those including swimsuits, so long as said swimsuits are being properly worn and there are no neon license plate frames or undercar light kits in the image. Bonus if you can include details (intimate) about the subject of the image and get them to have "Ottawa Audi Club" tattooed tramp stamp style.

Lets make this happen!!!

I know we have the list and there is a handful of decent guys on it who meet-up monthly for food/drinks/chit-chat/etc, but do you think it might be intimidating (or boring) for new comers?

...I know how much peeps like to stand around in parking lots

clubs usually start out somewhere. they also need to be organized, proactive, etc, etc, etc. "if you build it, they will come"

there are 'meets' and then there are 'clubs'. big difference imho.

back in the day - during my time as V.P. of the Volks Motorsports Club in Toronto - we used to have organized meets, monthly dinner cruises, rented Shannonville for track days, group drives to nearby shows, etc. it was fun, but it was work. fond memories.

not only would you need members, but you would also need a rotating cast of volunteers to spread the workload...

I was involved in one or two I think. Seems that in the past, anyone who wanted to meet would try and set something up via our yahoo group. Sometimes it didnt pan out but for the most part, participation has been pretty good. I've chatted with Lisa at MM a couple of times regarding them hosting something and there appears to be some interest BUT no commitment yet.
