I'm there Tuesday and Thursday from 3-6 and Friday from 9-4. Don't expect to see the S5 there though, a red MK3 Golf with white wheels is my commuter, I'll drive the S5 down if you want to meet up though.
I'm in the business school. What are you there for? MGMT 101 and MIS 101 are my Friday classes, it would be funny if you're in one of them.
Hey everyone, figured I would poke my head in and introduce myself a little. I recently picked up myself a 06 A4 and love it. I have lived in the sac area for a while but just recently got into cars since my work schedule pretty much eliminated my other hobby (motocross).
I would definitely like to meet up with some of you guys and pick your brains on coilovers and wheel and such.
I haven't completely settled on a name just yet, but I'm calling him Walter for the time being.
Hey all, figured I'd say hi to the locals. I just bought a 2012 S4 Prestige a couple weeks ago, the upgraded seats and carbon fiber interior trim are the only additional options I believe it has. Pretty much fell in love with the car the moment I saw it, drives much differently than my 08 G35 did, that's for sure.

Any active local Audi clubs in in Sac?
Hey PSXBatou, welcome and congrats. I work for the Lasher Auto Group in Elk Grove. Did you purchase the car from us?
Pretty much the active Audi club is our Audizine crew.

Yup, that's the one! I absolutely love it, the carbon fiber trim looks great in the car. The upgraded seats are nice too. Basically that prestige trim level had just about every option I could think of
You were the one Mike sold when I was looking at S4s. Wanted to check out the alcantara and it was gone :P
I picked up mine from Patrick and Tommy last monday.
Yup I picked mine up from Mike on Saturday the 28th :) Great overall experience with Lasher, first car I've bought from them, but with the experience how it was it won't be my last.
Good to know you guys have had nice experiences with the Audi store. Please let me know if anything comes up.
Nicko916, Patrick and Tommy are the GSM's at the Audi/VW stores. Nice guys. I know which car you picked up too, awesome ride! We rarely get S model vehicles in. Funny that the ones we sold are now on AZ!

Yea, I've bought 3 cars from them in the past 4 years. 08 S5, 08 Golf, and this 12 S4. Not too bad over 150k in cars with them lol

Yea, I worked with Patrick and Tommy on the deal since I needed a car pretty quick after my wreck. They dealer traded an A3 for my S4 from Sonnen, wasn't too bad. I just couldn't do the Ibis White. The glacier white pearl just was nicer for me lol.
This "was" my S5.. now it looks more like after an old lady hit me running a red light.
Winter setup in Sacramento? :P I always thought winter wheels were more for the cities that get snowfall, I've never had an issue using summer performance tires year round in Sacramento.
How is it? My brother was looking into getting one for his wife. Well, its between that and a Tahoe.
There is no comparison between the q7 and a tahoe. We love every bit of it, well my wife does, i havent even drove it yet. If he wants to check it out and see if its something he likes let me know.

We are going to start looking around for a Q5. The Q7 is too big of a vehicle for her, she likes mid-sized SUV's. Years ago I had a X5 as a loaner when my 06 330i was in the shop and that was too large of a vehicle for her. Right now I think her eyes are on a X3 or a Q5, in the next week or two we are going to test drive them both and see which one is more comfortable for her. She didn't like the MDX, nor the exterior of the FX or the RX.

Those are the two only SUV's she likes. I would take you up on that, but he lives in So-Cal.

That's a great looking car.
I just use them because i go up to tahoe occasionally during winter and the 20x10.5" i had on there normally on rainy days collect water in the barrel when driving and gave me annoying vibrations. plus it gives me 3-4 months to straighten the 20s because they always seem to be bent lol.
Got my car back a few hours ago from Lasher. Whomever they sub out to for tint does a excellent job. I'll have to remember to pull the car out of the garage tomorrow so it gets some sun. One thing I've noticed is while I get much better fuel economy than my G35 I'm at the gas station more often filling up. I think it has something to do with the tank size, the G35 was 20gal I think the S4 is 16.9gal if I remember right. I'm getting 15-18mpg which was unheard of in my G35 (averaged 12-15) unless it was distance freeway travel with no traffic.
Overall I'm pleased with my purchase, now I just hope this doesn't end up having reliability issues like my 06 330i did. It's why I decided to lease the car, figure if its reliable I'll either buy it or buy another S4 at term.
I love the carbon fiber interior bits, and the seats are really nice. I love the look of the alcantera and leather. The leather wrapped armrests and center armrest are a nice touch too.
Here are a few pictures (Sorry if they are too big, I didn't see functionality for a [timg] tag.)
Looks awesome! Did you go 35%? Diggin' the Lasher plates too.
Genesis Window Tinting does all of Lahser btw, real nice guys.
It's 15%, 5% is way too dark for my tastes so I went with the next one lighter which was 15%.
They did a great job, hopefully the tint sets well. I know being colder it will probably take longer. I go from my garage to a underground garage downtown so the car really never see's the elements all that much either.
I'll have those plates till the DMV decides to send me real ones
