Also, exhaust is finally in after about 2 weeks of bs. For about $500, i got a custom exhaust that sounds sweeeet. A video will be up soon.
So tomorrow, after your B-Day party, chop up my exhaust, then maybe shoot some rolling shots?

I also need to work on the red car if you wanna come by.

damn op..nice thread, nice avant, and nice progress! Reminds me of when I first purchased my b5 a4 avant when I was 16. I'm now 21 :). Last September, I purchased my 4th car, a b6 s4 (I had a 1992 celica as a DD for two years and a mk3 golf DD for another two). I'm more than sure you will be able to own both an A4 and a S4 if you're patient enough.

my avant from my last photoshoot (present day: car is a bit lower and wheels have more poke) :

    2001 Santorin A4 1.8tQTip Avant 29-35mpg
    034 GT28rs, 034 exhaust manifold, Unitronics, Borla non-res v1, Vis CF, 35%/5% tint, Blitz, 6500k HID, Carbonio v2, 18x8 Rs6, AWE Vent, A8 bbk, Valeo Ecodes, S4 front, Forge 007, Racetec, 550cc, 034 hfc, KW V1. et17r/22f

    2004 Silver S4 6sp. 18-22mpg. H&R sport, Hotchkis, Milltek non-Res.

AMI is where I got mine as well, $799 shipped ($116 less than MSRP, which doesn't include shipping). Just wait until they have a sale and you save tons of $$.

Nice is that blue or white? I think it would be perfect if it matched the rest of the red gauges but if you like it so be it, it's your car after all. Can't wait to see the FMIC by the way, I hope you got the biggest, most bad ass one you could find.

And after a ton of work, scrubbing and sanding... You get

Looks sooo good installed. Definitely the way it should always come from the factory.

Mucho denero also, i believe the fikse's are lighter. On another note what did you end up doing for wheels?

Fikse's are lighter, plus I want p-car twists for my car, so I won't let him get my wheels before me.

I think next on your list should be some light tint. Black out the side marker, and score some clear depo ecode headlights
Maybe once you install your fog-lights, snag an rs4 upper grille to complete the front end?

LOL, how heavy are they, i am kinda set on the fikse's. They are light, nicest looking wheels IMO, and i dont feel that 2000 with hankook tires is a bad deal.

I was just looking through the papers the original owner gave me to see about when the wheel bearings and cv joint/boots where last done and i found out that he has spent $19,244 on parts, $28,338 for the car bringing what he spent to....$47582!

lol, the right rear wheel bearing was done at 90k miles, another rear wheel bearing, i just dont know which side done at 107k. Axle shaft assembly done at 123.5k. Pass cv boot at 70k. I also got a new throttle body, cylinder heads and timing belts done at 70k miles. He broke a timing belt bending the valves. Rich original owner FTW!!!!
