I don't have a problem with how loud it is. The tone is off, though. It doesn't sound rich, or clean. Kind of has a hollow sound to it, like a Mustang exhaust, and too much rasp. Is it just a catback or do you have aftermarket downpipes, too?

^^ exactly. Sounds unrefined and like it doesn't belong on a 50k German car.

Again, it's not for everyone.. It's a catback + custom..

lol, what, doesnt belong on a german car?? please elaborate.. A LOT of high performance exhaust mfg's would disagree..

It kinda sounds like you cut off the mufflers and just put straight pipes. But isn't that what the strat. catback is anyways, just a mid res and the rest straight pipes.
It kinda sounds like cutouts and not a catback system. My car is loud as well, but that sound/tone just doesn't sound right for the car

I'd say the problem is in the "custom" part of the exhaust, not the Strat catback. Honestly, I've yet to hear a "custom" made exhaust on a 4.2 S4 that has a quality sound. Invariably, the problem is too much rasp.

Again, the volume is not the problem. The FI/LaBree exhaust, especially with aftermarket DPs, are very loud. It is a deep, rich, and clean tone, however. It's aggressive but refined. The sound of the exhaust in this thread is very unrefined.

You wanted feedback, so there you go. Negative feedback, yes, but constructive, nonetheless.

Yes, the strat catback is straight pipes in this case..

Your S4 now sounds like the other two cars in your garage. I don't know, I like loud exhausts, but the tone is just wrong.

I might be partial because I have a Strat Catback but that thing just sounds mean! Mines definitely not that loud, downpipes obviously make a huge difference. I seriously think it sounds awesome though!

Dig it. The rasp is good IMO. I like a V8 to sound a bit unhinged.

2.5 > 2.25 in volume as well as performance

I was in a Milltek 2.25" catback car a week or two ago, and it seemed like stock after my 2.5 + 2.5 car.

I like how it sounds under load, but I'm having a hard time with the idle and take off. I thought the first video was dubbed at first, haha!
