My S5 Progression Log

Hey guys. i purchased my CPO 2009 Audi s5 a little over a month ago ( 1/17). Since then i've been modding the little things and such, and in the future i will move on to bigger things. Because of that, i decided to start a work log here with my progression.

Heres some pics when i first bought the car:

I did 35 front 20 rears. I didnt want to go that dark because i want the beautiful red interior to be visible :)

yup, 20 rear 15 front. installing them once i find a good shop to install my springs :)

if you get the spacers, the car will look exactly like mine :) The plasti-dip was the best and easiest thing i ever did on this car.

i got the spacers already, just waiting on the install. but u motivated me to do my grill :)

lol ill go to jersey again as a last resort :X i hate those tolls man!

im sure a few rock chips on a painted grill is better lookign then my newbie plastidip grill :x

Diago at AMS is very well priced. even with the tolls he'll still be cheaper.

Is the gas station in that pic 86th st and stillwell?

I think you should de-badge and maybe cover the mirrors in plasti or CF. Grill looks amazing. I de-badged my silver on. Only left the little grill badge.

Was is "plasti dipping"? Cost?

u mean what is plasti dipping? basically it works like spray paint, but its a liquid rubber material. it bonds on like paint, but it can be ripped off, so its not permanant. it cost around 7-8 per can. i used about 2 cans for the grill

i might plastidip the rear emblems. not sure yet. i thought about dipping the mirrors too, but i kind of want to leave it silver because the mirrors is one of the biggest distinction of the s5 from the a5. if it werent for the mirrors, the s5 and a5 are pretty much the same at glance :X

OK, you inspired me to do my grill. As I type I am letting the first coat dry. I hope it comes off the rings easy and I masked the outer ring so it matches the windows. We'll see.

If it comes out shitty I am blaming you! lol

EDIT: Not sure how you used two cans. 3/4 of a can and now I am just spraying to use up the rest of the can.

Lol dont blame me! Well its easier to rip it off with thicker coats. Thats why i made a lot of coats so it will be easier in the future to remove it when the time comes.

i just taped up the S5 logo and took off the plate holder.
