For Those Who Take Pictures

I searched but did not see anything.
(if there is already one i guess disregard lol)

I thought it would be cool to have a place where anyone who likes to take pictures can post up some of their latest work
or even some of their favorite shots.
And you know like give some pointers and constructive criticism and feedback and opinions and all that stuff.

I actually just sold my first dslr (Nikon D60) and picked up a Nikon D7000 today which I'm pretty excited about.

I use a Canon T2i, usually on a tripod. I don't really photoshop that much because I don't really know how...

Love photography.. wish I could afford some nice lenses, but renting will suffice for now.

Probably one of the hardest things I've taken pictures of was at an airshow.. 2 of my favorite pictures I've taken.

well i want some opinions on what lens to sell

i have had a nikkor 18-70 for a while now and it was given to me used...the thing has got to be around 5 years old or so but im not totally sure

its been my main lens for the past 2 years but now i have the 18-105 that i just got

so i dont need both of them so im trying to decide which one to sell...any ideas?

I just use a canon g10 nothing special, except for the 15.1mp i guess.

Honestly the first best thing you can do is just shoot more. After that imo is good glass, thats where I would spend my money.

picked up an sb-600 flash today
and ordered a grip and extra battery which should be here by the weekend
its on like donkey kong lol
now i just need to go out and take some pictures
all i have been doing so far is just taking pictures around the house lol

Seriously!? GDL Stickers!?!?! The stickers ruin the look THAT much more, nice shot though

I gots a Canon 30D. I shoot mostly with my 10-22mm Canon EF-S Lens and 50mm 1.8 Lens, and from time to time, my 8mm Sigma Fisheye. I got a Canon 530 exII flash and gary fond diffuser. I haven't really shot much in a while and have gotten a bit rusty. I do like to play with HDR and photoshop. Some of my shots. Some I'm sure you've seen before.

Played with levels in photoshop.

night roller, needed to time this so i was under some lighting, luckily a construction zone in down town Manhattan, near Ground Zero.

ya, he forgot to take em off. we usually do (i just dont have any). thats his moms car on winters. his car (e46 m3) was backed into so it was getting fixed. i still needa get shots of it.

I'm from north jersey around the rutherford area.

That balcony shot is actually from our condo down at H20.

Would people be up for captioning their images with the photo info (camera, lens, aperture setting, shutter speed, ISO, etc)? I'm just getting into photography and I find I learn so much from seeing what other people achieved with a particular setting. Thanks!

i think thats a good idea

its easy to do on flickr...all you do is click the "actions" tab and in the drop down menu select the last option that says "view EXIF info"
that will have all the info you need

i hate how cumbersome it is to share photos from flickr on a forum. photobucket is a lot easier, but i know they compromise resolution (or so I assume). How does everyone else copy the link from flicky the fastest way??? because photobucket gives you multiple links and an image code to post directly in threads.

flickr is pretty easy. When looking at your photo, use the Share this drop down and then just choose the bb code in the size you want. Copy. Paste. I usually leave off the new little tag they have which says the photogs name and link to their photos.

How do u get the actual color of headlights/fog lights like that and not have them be super bright. Ive messed with the settings alot but i cant seem to get it like this...
