Is this good or bad ?
Do you mean the MT-90 or the ShockProof oil ?

Shear strength is a lubricant's ability to maintain a specific viscosity after prolong use. Gear teeth exhibit pressure on the fluid as they operate and that pressure can crack long polymer like molecules into shorter molecules reducing the viscosity. After prolong use redline fluid shears to a significantly less viscosity than as new. It's not so bad if you do frequent fluid changes but overtime the fluid is rendered useless. It's experienced through out the redline gear oil range as redline likely uses the same base stock in most of their gear products and it's that base stock to which this occurs.

I still do not understand if you like RedLine oils or if you don't like RedLine oils

The RedLine oil reps over here in SWEDEN say that:

    * MT-90 and MTL is good for 90000 Km ( 55900 Miles ) before oil change in manual gearboxes.
    * The three different Shockproof oils is good for 30000 Km ( 18600 Miles ) before oil change in manual gearboxes.

I don't like it because in my opinion it was a major contributing factor to the destruction of a few gearboxes. If you look at the oil specs issued by gearbox manufacturers they vary, and often those variations are vastly different from one to another, yet Redline says their fluid is best for all gearboxes, which just isn't true.

I sell the fuchs stuff because it is a direct cross over to factory fluid specifications as well as offering additional benefits such as outstanding cold weather performance.
