sorry for the lack of updates, been rushing to finish this thing up. the cage is now basically done just need to add a few gusset plates to tie it into the body now, that will be done in the next few days.
But the car is now running again with the new radiator so it was time for the annual repaint :)
Decided to do a little tribute to Audi rally from the 80's with a few twists
cut some vents in the hood to help thigns stay cool, its amazing how much they help.
Bumper got cut for more airflow as well, running just the skin now.
all sanded down
Casablanca White base coat
putting down some tape lines
masking off for the fun part
got some Mars Red on there
it was a sweet setup in my buddies garage, but tight on space, had to be careful not to touch anything
all the colors are on
and now for 3 layers of clear

Jeez, I was at that cuscc show. I regret not walking around as much. I havn't been around on audizine much lately either so I was under the impression it was still flat black. Pumped to see this monster at the pikes peak climb. Once again, it was nice meeting you Val!
...now time to get ready for next year: forced induction and better cooling... had to rid a last minute radiator spray using the windshield sprayer motor... hence the wipers going off all the time.

Thats sick dude. My friend was there with SEAT factory team. He told me that there was a A4 there but it had a V8 in it. I was like "haha, that guy is on AZ"
