just pull out the stock connectors, and plug in the new adaptor. The silver box is a resistor I believe. I put some 3M double-sided tape on the resistor and stuck it up against the inside of the trunk(where the wires come from). Then just push it all back in and you're good to go.

Perfect, thank you! The silver box/resistor threw me off. Much appreciated...
Got the stock license plate lights out just fine, but my USP ones don't seem to fit. The male pins in the new housing (with the resistor and led attached) are much wider/thicker than the OEM ones. They appear to be too thick to go into the female connecters attached to the car. Put as much pressure as I am will to get it to fit, but it is a no go. Am I missing something or did USP send the wrong connecter? Thanks

^This. Bought it on black friday when it was one sale for a friend. His car arrived today. Went to install it and it doesn't fit? Were you able to fit them or were they the wrong ones? The picture also doesn't show the giant silver resistor box you have to jam in there either..

I was able to get them to work, and they have stayed in and hooked up. Basically they are not the same connecters but do stay in if you truly force them a bit above your comfort range. The clips just dont clip in the same way that they used to. Good luck!
