Why because the person didn't follow the advice given or because we are talking trash about them?

My brother had two at the same time break, he drives with the windows down all the time to. One morning we were driving along and the back passengers side went crack and the window fell we stopped and taped it up. then down the same road on the same morning he started to roll down the front drivers and it just fell and wouldn't go back up either

I haven't had as bad luck with them as some have. This was just the second one I've ever had to do on any of my Audi's.
After getting everything back together last night I am getting no power to anything on the door I did the work on. I can still make the window move using the driver master switch but on the pass side the window switch, lock button, and vainty light all don't work. That whole panel just ins't getting power, and I checked eveything 2-3 times and took the door panel off twice trying to figure out the problem and still can't find one. My only guess if maybe I fucked up one ofthe wires from the door haning on it just just a minute before I got everything unplugged.

broke the DP!!!!!! so looks like the full 3" custom exhaust is in full effect. Now to find a good rear muffler and Euro bumper with a single exhaust cutout.

For the bumper check ebay.co.uk, should be able to find it and a lot cheaper than in Germany (generally).

I drove my B8 Avant all over San Diego, Coronado, La Jolla, Mission Bay, Seaport Village, and Little Italy. It ended up turning over 44,000 miles! Note to fellow dropped Audis...Coronado is a b*tch to drive lowered cars in! Dips and bumps galore!

Got it back from upper seals and vcg replacement. Also swapped in new coils and plugs and fixed a couple nasty coolant leaks (1 being the auxilary, go figure)
Don't realize how much I like that car until it is down for a week or so...nice to have it parked in the drive again!

Hey happy2b5! Why yes I did. I put them on the day after I received them. I honestly can't tell much except the ride is "bouncier" if that makes sense at all.

Dupli-color engine enamel. For the lettering on the cover and caps i used hobby craft paint with a couple coats of clear. We'll see how that holds up. I tried this on my B5 and i vaguely remember the white lettering yellowing over time. I would have checked by B5 to be sure but i long since painted all the caps on it a solid color

That's what I'm thinking but on paper, after all the adjustments between ST coilover height and finally after control arm installation my buddy's shop says it's ideal. "Bouncier" meaning I can take bumps and humps "softer" than the previous way I did. Sorry for the lack of better words.

Bought my new Avant (courtesy of "dropshadow")
Washed it, stared at it, made lots of excuses to run errands around town for the wife. Now just trying to get used to the coilovers....Geez these things are more sensitive than I thought they would be - going over speedbumps with these is a skill I'll need to acquire quickly.

Day 1 by MyStuffOnline, on Flickr
It's pretty low, but you'll get used to it. Might want to raise it if there are lots of speed bumps in your area.
PS, you want the BBCode link if you want to embed photos from Flickr.

Exactly, just learn how to avoid bumps as much as possible.
