So...I'm finding that while I can get BBS CH's in 19X9.5, I can't get them in the proper offset. The et35's have to be 19X8.5's. The 9.5's are et40. I don't really want to run spacers, either. BLAH!

10mm will fit nicely too!

Installed a TT-RS steering wheel and halfway done the Zada-Tech gauge install.

Last week: Bought the Rhino Ramps to install my RS4 rear sway bar that has been sitting in the garage for the last 13 months Install was cake. Haven't been able to get too crazy with it yet but can definitely feel it's back there.
Got 55k service done at dealer, had them check for the latest recalls/revisions. They did the 24T4 fuel pressure sender and said my car already had the revised PCV and Intake flap.

This morning: Replaced the balding Nexen 3000 tires that PO put on, with some Continental Extreme Contact DWs. Only put a whole 12 miles on them, but so far they are way more quiet/smoother than the Nexens.

This afternoon: Gunna give it a bath and try out some of that Sonax Wheel cleaner everybody raves about.

Within the next month: Coils. Still debating ST vs KW vs ??

If the debate is KW V1 vs St's, then they are literally the same thing with different shock bodies (stainless vs galvanized). Considering your location, I'd save the money and go STs

I spent two hours in my dads garage fumbling about for a dremel; I had a hacksaw on standby in case I couldn't find it but fuck manual labor, I was determined to find the dremel.

And thanks. ECUs out but will be sent in the morning since JHM is off on weekends, I expect it back by Tuesday or so.

Now, onto the OEM DPs and exhaust removal!

The one I wanted out in CO seems to be bailing on me, so I am going to check out one that is much more local, although the price is much higher and it doesn't come with a brand new engine....oh well. It does already come with KW V3's and a FI exhaust so that would be a plus

That's the second time somebody has asked me that. No it was a B6 S4 Avant that just had it's engine replaced Feb. last year. The seller has once again blown me off. There was a local guy that was going to look at it today and he says if he doesn't buy it that he will just trade it in. I had already talked him out of doing that once but he seems determined to get rid of the car asap and apparently doesn't want to deal with me

I'll be going to look at the S4 in ATL tomorrow. Hopefully it will look in good shape and that he will budge on his price

Haters gonna hate on those rims. Everyone on here is on a budget (most of us anyways), so unless we drop $5k on a set of HREs or DPEs or whatever, everyone on here is bound to have the same rims eventually. RS4 reps are tasteful and classic. Your car looks great man

Not 'today', but i got the Hankooks installed yesterday, tidied up the new lights and grille on Friday, and gave her a bath. Oh, and i got a warning ticket Saturday for no front plate - i hadn't even driven 10 miles on the new grille. A new record!

First off...gave the car a much needed bath. Its not black!

Also decided to get out of hibernation and put on the "new" Summer wheels. I've been working on this FOREVER...getting custom adapters made, re-finishing the wheels, etc.



This is also the first picture I've posted showing the final ride height on the Vogtland GT suspension. The wheels are 19 x 9 and came off a 2008 Range Rover Sport. Props to mitchfalk for doing this first and giving me the idea! Also big ups to Jr. at Motorsport Tech for fabbing up these awesome custom adapters...in under a week. I highly recommend them if you are looking for some spacers or wheel adapters that are outside the norm or just want a custom size.



Tires are 255-35-19 and on these wheels there is a little bit of stretch. Also a little bit of poke with these adapters...which I normally am not a fan of, but this is pretty subtle. If I were to do it again I'd probably shave a few mm off the spacers but for the moment I'm going to rock with them the way they are. I had to remove the upper torx bolt holding the fender liners in place. I was getting a little rubbing. But the good news is I don't need to roll my fenders.

Some closeups...I found some OEM centercaps that fit the bore on these wheels perfectly. Not sure what to do with the rings...might paint them black. The wheels are finished in a gunmetal/granite color, which I love.

These Range Rover lug bolts are a bit absurd. I went with aftermarket bolts but OEM ones are @ $15 EACH. F that. I'm not a fan of the chrome so will probably re-finish them in a matte black or some other color that is not so shiny/blingy. Anyway...I've only had them on the car for a couple of days now and am already turning quite a few heads. For the price of these I'm very happy! I paid $300 for all four, did the re-finishing myself, and already had the tires. If I bend one I can pick up a replacement on eBay for under $100. I'm so DONE with expensive wheels...at least on the crap roads here in DC.
