I don't think you guys should mix vbox data with logs. It doesn't account for altitude and isn't even GPS based.
Adam, if you want to get some vbox runs in let me know. Anyone local for that matter. But don't blame me if you get pulled over lol.

This will just be to get things rolling. Plus for the actual times I adjusted it via rpm and tire size which is very accurate. I am going to log my car at the sme time I v-box to see how far off it is

You should rent it out for a small fee. Like say $25-$50 bucks to do logs or something like that. That way you will get some of your money back, especially since you tried to cancel the order and it got shipped anyway.

I admit after noting how far off ECUx is compared to VBox I'm not real excited about letting log files in... If we can't count on accuracy than the data is useless. I also thought the asterisk was for GPS verified runs only.

Were the Pbox times faster or slower (or varying) compared to ECUx times?
When plotting Vagcom generated acceleration curves (based on delta rpm/sec), I find that the data are OK up to approx 5000rpm, but start fluctuating after that, probably due to the decreased sample rate at high rpm, so I agree that only Pbox/Vbox times should be used for the official list.
I use an accelerometer based datalogger (made by the guys that make the Mustang dynos). It spits out power/torque numbers similar to a correctly calibrated Mustang dyno, and the time to speed is dead on accurate (spot on with track timing, magazine tests, etc), but since my times are not Pbox/Vbox based, they should not be added to the list. I will just mention times that I measure in posts, for you guys to use as a reference.

I don't remember you noting it? have you logged a car VIA ecux while recording with a V-box as well? Not saying it is accurate but with recalculated speeds how does it compare? Justin was putting * next to cars that were verified via a performance calculator, if it pleases the jury i can take the astericks down unless they are V-box. I am going to get my V-box this weekend so I can do over lapping loggings if you all don't have them.

Awesome! Now we just need somebody to rent a deserted air strip.
I second only putting stars next to vbox verified times. Not that ECUx isn't accurate but it will just assure that we don't have any variables.

Will be doing some VBox runs on the 20th at the track rental. Legal FTW!
Should have the boost up at around 30psi or so by than.
So far I have seen a huge decrease in spool time with this weather. Seeing 10psi at 3000rpm now. Where before I was seeing 14.5psi at 4200rpm

The ECUX log was a 10.0 on a run that I pulled a 9.8 on the V-box so it is relatively close.. Send me files please (EPL you posted on QW, if anyone has those logs I'd love to validate them)
Lets get this going!

Very nice!
You should make 9s easily if you stay in 4th until 130mph. You waste a huge amount of time by shifting into 5th. Your 60-120 time is approx 7.5s.
Try a no shift pull from 4th gear as well, that will probably be the quickest of all, I predict high 8's or very low 9s with a no shift 4th gear pull.
What is the FATS time on this car?
Any dyno numbers? Weight?

Good shit, S4-ORCE definitely take Espen's advice, those two shifts are killing you. That car will easily dip into the single digits I'm sure, care to share some more specs on the car, tune, boost, w/m, or any other goodies? Also Reid could you update the list on the OP and put each entry in order by time. I know its nit picky but just thought I'd mention it. Love this thread now we just need to get the damn thing put up as a sticky!

I really dont think I can ride out 4th gear till 130. My rev limiter is at 7100.
FATs on this car is 3 flat custom tune,ER's no meth. 21-22psi on pump and high 2's on race.
No spare/tools full interior 3/4 tank of pump gas. I'm going to try 1/4 tank of MS109 later today and go on the race file.

Stop. Don't even try because we did over the weekend in a car and bounced off that shit at just around 125. If your REV limiter is there you will not make it and only feel like shit afterwards!
FATs times for those who are asking really don't mean anything unless we're talking exact same stretch of road (when you're talking small variations). Example. I'll do a 3.1-3.2 on my slight incline of a road. My interpretation of the slight incline could be something most people wouldn't do because they could see it as not flat enough. When you're talking tenths of a second either direction, 2-3 tenths, the cars are identically fast.

Hmm, I'm starting to wonder if at least some US spec S4's were shipped with RS4 gear ratios. Some quoted mph's from FATS data indicate that, and if you run into the limiter at 125mph, that would indicate the same thing.
Assuming stock rolling circumference and minimal tire deflection, you should hit 132mph at 7100rpm with the 0.967 S4 4th gear.
At 125mph, revs should be 6690rpm
With the rs4 (1.032) 4th gear, 7100rpm means 124mph

Well best we can get with this tune in the AMD 770R is 5.9 60-130 and 5.1 100-200. C16 on the way.
