Yup. As much as it was documented in emails I wanted the end technician to know there isn't any fluids in any of the boxes. I put tags on my steering wheel when doing work on my own car. Good reminder.

    Update again with pics:

Pedal assembly is in, shifter box with linkage and rods are in, motor is back together with IE rods, clutch assembly is on the block, rear diff is in, prop shaft is in, rear drive shafts weren't needed so we re-used my original ones, as is the transmission tunnel heat shields.

What needs to go in: b5 2.8 trans, clutch pedal wiring, starter interlock re-wire, back up light switch re-wire, transmission cross brace, and possibly modify downpipe.

My car on the hoist, with b7 team car below:

    b5 2.8 trans from Doug:

my tiptronic shifter box assembly (b7 6 speed to the right of it going into the b7 team car):

shifter linkage and rods in, along with prop shaft:

my original prop shaft, with Milltek exhaust:

    IE rods installed:

Clutch assembly in, with new slave cylinder:

My glorious 2 piston sliding b5 s4 brakes:

Nope, no surprises as of yet. H2 Sport said Doug was more than generous to include every tidbit.

Edit: Oh and Doug, the back up light switch was already on the trans. You said you couldn't find it, guess you were too busy to see that it was already there :P

Its the least that I could do. You waited very patiently for me given my busy schedule.

What did they say of my labeling of things (ie: the diff and trans)? Chris sure got a laugh out of it.

I could not find the female end of the plug where the wiring harness plugs into the switch on the trans. That item needs to be purchased and wired into the car's harness. I found the female end to the speedometer sensor on the driver side (near front driveshaft flange) of the trans.

Nice photos. I vote you stop by the shop every night and take photos seeing how quickly things are progressing. Then again, the bulk of the work is completed.

Pedal assembly is in the car now?

Yeah, they liked how it was organized etc. and labelled properly.

Ah I see. I remember Tom mentioning the procurement of the female end of the speed sensor since the speed sensor socket is different on the tiptronic. They will splice it in along with the back up light switch female end. Not a biggy. The pedal assembly is in the car. What they end up doing with the pedal assembly is take out the brake and clutch halves and mated it with my pedal assembly. They took the switches out for the clutch and brake provisions and swapped them over. Basically the only thing that exists outside of the car now is the gas pedal from the pedal assembly you shipped me, and the automatic brake pedal.

I intend on going again tomorrow night after work to snap more photos of the progress.

I dunno if u can see the two electrical plugs dangling in front of the yellow hoist arm maybe a foot in front of the disc rotor. Those are the original plugs from the main wiring harness that was plugged into the tiptronic. Those plugs need to be replaced so they get wired into the manual speed sensor and back up light switch.

    Update:

Gearbox is in, downpipe is back in, prop shaft is bolted up, front axles bolted up, ECU is programmed. What still needs to go in: gear and diff oil, interior shifter plate trim piece, clutch pedal switch wiring.
