a friend who is a former S6 V10 owner (that was just sold for a more practical S5)... who told me his car was at the dealer 9 times in 8 months and averaged 14mpg.

hopefully your friend just had bad luck w/ his. i've researched this car in and out for a year...read forum posts regarding it, looked through cost-of-ownership pages...i didn't find too many problems overall. it's a given that a 5.2L V10 isn't bought for MPGs, but i seem to be doing just fine so far strictly city driving...getting about 250-270 miles on 3/4 of a tank (haven't topped it off yet).

i just find something special about owning a car that has less than 1000 units brought to the U.S. every year...and has a (detuned) lambo engine. originally the first audi i was looking at was the S5 (before it was officially announced)...but i can't do the coupe thing with a family. to each their own.

so...who's up for a photoshoot?
