I picked up two sets of LED bulbs from David@Tunerdome one for myself and for another member. I have had these bulbs for at least 6 months now and wanted to give a through review and see how they hold up in real life usage. I am in no way, shape or form have any affiliation with tunerdomes, this is just a third party review on the bulbs!
I ordered the bright white and their name says it all BRIGHT. They are highly visible and illuminates very nicely. I have received lots of compliments from other AZers and random people (not only for my car ) I sent David a few emails back and forth asking how they work (no bulb light for cluster), warranty, etc on the bulbs. He replied quick and answered all questions I had for him. So far experience was great.
Pricing:
The bulbs where respectfully $30ish and to be honest I was hesitant in buying considering, that it is a lot of money for just a pair of bulbs. However, considering that other companies are selling them for more I figured why not. IMHO, I think the bulbs are worth it. I could have gone the less expensive route and bought a set of led bulbs and used external resistors but trying to figure out which resistor I need, where to locate the resistor, etc was too much hassle for me. I figured, for 30ish I could just do a straight plug and play and call it a day, which is exactly what happened!
Shipping:
Shipping took approx 3-4 from when I ordered as the bulbs where in stock. Fast and easy!
Overall:
Overall I am extremely happy and I am certain the other AZer will chime in with his thoughts on the bulbs. The rear of my car looks soooo much better with the whiteness of the bulbs and it transformers the overall exterior appearance (at night) into a more luxurious look. Most importantly, I have tired these bulbs on my friends s4 and NO BULB LIGHT OUT warning. I plan on buying the LED interior set from David in the near future, so stay tuned for that review.
Added bonus:
Maybe some of you are interested in buying a set? Promo code: QUATTRO11, save a few bucks to help you save on shipping!
I'd like to see what they look like without a Photoshop'd license plate. I personally don't understand why people distort their plates when it's public knowledge any time you take your car out in public. Regardless, they look good, I just want to see them without the swirl distraction.
David at Tunerdomes is good people .. helped me out and took care of issues I had with the early production models of that bulb without hesitation. I also recommend Tunerdomes bulbs. They work and Cost less than Other brands!
So far I have them on several family and friends cars including my own .... my oldest set is from February 2009 and are still working great!

yea it was a lil tough getting the screw back as there is not a whole lot of space for you to move around.
just make sure the cover is snapped back in place and the screw is entering straight and you should not have a prob.

I purchased the new style from Dave a few months back and still got the bulb out warning(red display). If you search around it seems that its a hit or miss on our cars...weather or not you have the color display or the red display.
Installed a resistor on mine and now it works like a charm.

Had these on my old A4 with red dis, and no warnings. Now I have color dis, and want to make sure I don't get the warning.. I miss these bulbs! Looking forward to picking up a set if they'll plug and play with color display..

what I found to help is removing the license plate frame (if you have one) + license plate, which gives you some more access. From there, you can use a small screw driver to access the screws. Once removed, just reinsert and try to wiggle the housing in so you see the screw hole. The key, that I found is inserting the screw in as straight as possible and force it in...if you insert screw in any angle other than straight it will not go in the whole way.
for everyone else, sent dave the email about DIS, from my experience I have not had any bulb warning out.
Updated pics .... I noticed that the older models are more of a 4200k looking white light with a slight blueish tint and the newer ones are rated at 6k .... maybe ill change my old ones to some new ones..

So you did try these on a B7 S4 and they worked even though the site says they won't work on any S4's? Would love to pick these up if that's the case.
I tried these out on a 2006 Audi S4 (b7) and the bulbs did not throw a warning, however I would hate to miss inform you or tell you that these will in fact 100% not throw an error light. A member has replied that he had color and they did have a warning, but it appears from what he said it is a hit or miss with warning lights. I can only advise you with what I have seen first hand, which is no error light, but can't say with 100% certainty you will have the same results.

you know. . . everyone that sees you in the street can read your plates. you better swiirl them out in real life.
you know, someone already said this, so you are just being redundant which is blatantly useless. We get that people can read your plate from daily driving, I blurred out these plates out of respect for the AZ member who might not want the WHOLE world to see their plates as opposed to just local drivers. Please refrain for posting useless messages in this thread unless it is something conducive for everyone else.

Oh yeah, BTW Randy i keep forgetting to inform you. You are WAY behind the power curve on this one, had this in early Nov 09. Its ok though you cannot beat everyone to everything when you are poor. Thanks for that savings though, I and alot of others appreciate it.
When you are working with LEDs, you have to remember there is a thing called polarity to consider. The circuits have to operate in a certain flow to not bottleneck themselves. if your lights dont work flip them around and switch em up, you will get it to work eventually.
