First, the car: a 2001 Audi A4 1.8tQM. Nothing too special; Hibiscous Red (one of my favorite colors
), stock wheels, Eibach lowering springs, and Bilstein shocks.
Now, for the head. Basically, we took an AEB head and had it ported and polished. The seats were also cut to allow for the bigger valves as well as had brand new valve guides installed. Also, according to CAT Cams, some machine work may be required to allow free rotation of the cams. This had to be done for the exhaust cam. Assembly for the head has already begun, unfortunately, no snapshots of the work in progress just yet. In the end though, this head will be capable of 10,000+ RPMs, no sweat. Hopefully, the block will be able to keep up!

As for the block, I had a forged 1.8t crank sent off to Jared at SCCH for knife-edging and balancing. I have the main caps and am just waiting on the arrival of my ARP main studs so that the rest of the machine work can be done. Pauter rods are also in the mail right now as well. When they arrive, assembly of the block can begin. I already have the pistons and brand new rings and wrist pins.

And finally, some random pics of other go-fast parts.
Piston Rings and gaskets.

Autronic SM2.

Wiring harness laid out and ready to be wrapped.

Injectors.

Various mounts.

That's it for now; however, I still have plenty more packages coming in the mail this week!
