    Timing Belt jumped! help!!

Just finished changing the timing belt on my S6 wagon AAN Motor, after I had the new timing belt back on & torquing the crank pully belt down, I removed the Audi crank lock pully tool and when I rotated the cam back to TDC the belt wasn't tight enough and it jumped moving the Cam but not the crank pully. I took the belt back off and put everything back to TDC and reinstalled the belt. How f#%$d am I? Car starts but sounds like there might be a tic. I'm imagining the worst but not sure how to tell.

Make your own timing marks on the crank and the cam sprockets. Then turn the crank by hand (or ratchet) and make sure they still line up. You will need to go 2 times around on the crank for every one time around on the cams. If everything lines up after 2-3 turns, your golden.

I just actually came across the same thing, are you sure you had tightened the pulley to its tention before spinning the crank? i am pretty sure my pully was still loose and i cranked it and it jumped a tooth forward on the crank but stayed the same on the cam. this has something to do with the way your pulley and tentioner were prior to the cranking.
