Wow, 18,000?? For some reason I keep getting recommended the same beers, huh.

Atwater is ok, but if I had my choice Founders, Darkhorse, Shorts and Arcadia are all at the top of my list. Do they all have accounts with you guys? If not I can certainly help you out with that!

Sorry to dig up an old thread but you should add the ability to put in a custom beer type when suggesting a beer to be added. I was trying to add the summer magic hats but i can't add "dandelion beer" Thanks! great app, use it all the time

No problem man! Unfortunately, that's much more complicated than it seems. Every sub-style needs to roll up into a higher level style for a number of reasons. What we could do is allow members to select the higher level style it falls under, and mark them as "user generated" but we'll quickly end up with duplicate styles under various higher level styles. It very quickly becomes a mess.

Generally, we stick to the BJCP guidelines.

That said, we may allow a mess with a big "user submitted" icon, because I agree, it does get frustrating to not add the stated beer style.
