Just popped in the 2010/2011 DVD and it worked like a charm. Literally took 30 seconds to perform the upgrade and the MMI rebooted.

2011 RNS-E map just arrived and works great. Not too many noticable differences, but a 4 year old map update is pretty significant.

PM me if you'd like a backup of the disc you surely already own ;)

A little assist, if possible... Received a known-good backup copy, but in my '08 all I get is a "Reading DVD, please wait" message. Any chance someone else has encountered this? Thanks in advance.

I have the 2005.5 A4 with navigation. I ummm purchased.. yeah purchased the new cd, but low and behold I umm scratched it... yeah thats what I did. Like an idiot I didn't make a backup copy.. can anyone help me out? =)

Apparently the 2012 map is out there, but nobody really knows how to get it.

So... I think I see whats going on here.

I was a bit naive for a little bit there lol with this "backup copy" business, but I get it now lol. Community members helping community members.

A friend of mine (who doesn't frequent the forums) who just purchased a C6A6 with a messed up nav disk. The C6's have the MMI system, so curious about where he could buy the newest MMI disk for the best price or if anyone has a "backup" that I could "borrow".

how do you burn the .iso file? I've tried half a dozen ways and I still can't get it to read.

It's still not available on Navteq's website. Seems some Audi dealers are able to get them, but not for public sale. Don't know why. It's supposed to have both updated maps and a firmware upgrade (version 210). Maybe there's a problem with the firmware upgrade on older RNS-E units and they're waiting for a fix to the firmware?

I'm really interested to see if the firmware upgrade fixes the voice command glitches I have right now (caught her saying left several times when you're supposed to turn right... or was it the other way around?

You need the MMI disc and not the rnse disc. Ask around and get a hold of the MMI as you have that and not the rnse.
