Anyone still sharing the ISO file for the updated disc, so that I can burn a backup copy of the disc I already own, of course? Just moved back to the "mainland" and now navigation is suddenly relevant. . .

Just tried to buy a copy online (yes, I know they're expensive) and it said that the disks were no longer available online. Called the dealership and they said it was no longer available either... any suggestions?!

It's probably because they're due to release the 2011/2012 discs around this time.

Have you tried contacting the company which made it? I mean this is really ridiculous if it's that difficult to get the original ;) They should provide you your online copy happily and instead of this everything gets more complicated. This is very annoying!+
When will be the new release? Therefore you also could wait until the release if it's not too long.

I just purchased a 2009 Audi S5. Based on the info below, I am running the original software.

Running media version USA_11000_2341
Databank version 2043/20080225021354

Does anyone know if this disc would apply and if there have been any MMI or map updates since the 2008 release?

No this disc is for Rns-e only. You need to get the MMI disc update. The disc you would need is this: http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...atalog_A5_2009

Its $199 new but maybe someone that has it could back up one for you!

I've been looking all over for that DVD, but it seems impossible to find. None of the forums have links to download. I just bought this car and my dealer never told me that the system and maps were NEVER updated. I'm still running the February 2008 software.

Have there been software updates since 2008 for the 09 S5 MMI, or just maps?

best bet is to check on audiforums.us, they have more knowledge about the MMI and are more invloved than we are on this forum.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I've been thoroughly disappointed with the MMI. Not intuitive, too many unnecessary clicks and navigation/maps is atrocious.

I have a copy of the new 2011 DVD, but cannot get my existing DVD to eject. I guess I'm going to head to the dealership to have them eject the DVD it and will update if it works. If all goes well, I will spread the love and send the DVD out.

Still need to get to my dealership. Tried to go to a different dealership and they wanted to charge me $65 to eject the DVD. Ridiculous!
